Korn, Static X and Fear Factory at the Robinson Pavillion, Perth in 2004. The biggest metal gig ever to hit WA, being that there were three huge international metal acts.

That was a top night, f*ck I was smashed! :D :D

Wish i could say the same. Was hanging for that night in Melbourne for ages, but Fear Factory sounded bad (Rod Laver is a shocking venue) & none of the crowd were getting into them, Static X were unreal, but not many people seemed to know who they were, and Korn were ok because it seemed everyone had gone there to see them (despite Korn kinda being past their prime time best)

Santana , Eagles and Fleetwood Mac Calder 1977

Billy Thorpe& the Aztecs , Daddy Cool and Queen etc Sunbury 1973

Heart Dallas Tx 1983

Virgin Soldiers , Illusion Braybrook 1990

Foreigner Melbourne 1987

The Cure Melbourne 1979

Bruce Springsteen Melbourne 1985 & 1996

Concrete Blonde Melbourne 1993

They're the standouts.

Prince last time he came was right up there it was a bit more paired down than when he was a megastar his talent is predigious.

Billy Bragg gigs during the Cold War

Metallica at the BDO Perth the week before would come close too, they were the best stand alone band I have seen by quite a bit. :thumbsu:

That was an awesome concert, i saw them down here in Melbourne. Quality night, plus the suprise opening band was sunk loto. Doesnt get much better

Tom Waits at the Palais in the early 80s.
Dylan at same venue and around the same time.
Joe Cocker at Festering Hole the day after he got busted, early 70s.
Bowie at the MCG during the 80s.
The Models at the Corner Hotel a couple of years ago.
Separate concerts by Ellen McIllwaine and Kate & Anna McGarrigal at Dallas Brooks during the 80s.

Edit: Billy Thorpe & the Aztecs @ at Surf City in Sydney in 1965.
Max Merritt, Daddy Cool, McKenzie Theory, Chain all through the late 60s.
Bee Gees & the Kinks early 70s at Festering Hole.

I saw The Kinks there early 70's too. Supported by Chain and a young Ted Mulry (before TMG) singing Julia. I would have sworn Chuck Berry was on the bill too, because I remember thinking what a strange match that was, but can't find any trace of him being on the show.

Also saw a double header of The Who and Small Faces at Festival Hall in 1968. Supported by Paul Jones who had been the singer for Manfred Mann.

The show ended as usual with Townshend smashing his guitar and Moon kicking his Pictures of Lily drums over and the place filled with smoke. That was the 1st show of the night, can you believe they did 2 shows a night.

Gotta admit I don't remember much about the music, too long ago.

Faith No More, Thebarton Theatre, May 1993

Touring Angel Dust, they tore the place apart. Patton was at his darkest, Big Jim was hanging in there by the skin of his teeth and as players they were so, so solid.

Still waiting to experience anything like it.

Unfortunately i was only 6 but i woulda given just about anything to be at this gig

Fear Factory always put on a good show in Perth, I've seen them a number of times here but I nearly missed them that night they were on so early. Yeah, Static X I was also quite surprised how good they were even though I knew their music. It felt like the whole crowd was into it but that might have been because I was in the mosh pit for the whole night. :D :D

Kelly Clarkson last night was the best, she is so awesome live!!

Other ones that were great were Christina Aguilera, Hanson and Kiss! :)

The 4th of May 1989. What a night.
