Who do you think is the best Indigenous player?

#2 - Chris Johnson - Brisbane Lions

3 - Premierships

2 - All Australian jumpers (Vice Captain of the winning Australian side last year)

peter bell is korean born and not indigenous

michael long = good but overrated
gavin wanganeen > michael long
nicky winmar's brilliance > gavin wanganeen BUT wanga > winmar for consistency and normalcy and thuggery
chris johnson > wanganeen
mcleod > johnson
goodes > mcleod
p.farmer > goodes
wells potential to be greater than all of them.

Andrew Mcleod by a mile

Multiple AA
2x Premiership player
2X Norm Smith
Multiple Club Champion

Nobody else's statistics even come close.
Macca could chase anyone down, avoid anyone, win matches off his own boot when he was in his prime. He will still show glimpses of it but sadly I think his best is behind him.

St Phillip, you cant be serious! Farmer?
and you said Winmar was inconsistant

The term indigenous can refer to animals and plants as well as people, and also not restricted to Australia. It's descriptive, like 'immigrant' or 'bigot'.

The Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders are indigenous people of Australia. A kangaroo is an indigenous species of Australia. The Bushmen are indigenous to South Africa.

goodes & akermanis ( i guess akermanis still counts even though his indiginous blood is diluted?)
Akermanis indiginous? What you talkin' 'bout Wilis? He's got a Greek or Romanian background or something doesn't he? I think he's about as Aboriginal as the Queen of England.
Anyway, I vote Jeff Farmer for this one.

chris it's not a joke - it's been well documetned on this site & other offical sites like the AFL site

he may have predominately balkan blood but also has indiginous as well

my point was partly how much indigonous blllod do you need to qualify? - so i threw aker in the mix he's about 1/16 or 1 /32 or something

This year = P. Burgoyne or Aron Davey
Last Year = Adam Goodes closely followed by G. Wanganeen
Ever I have seen = Wanganeen.
Ever I haven't seen = maybe Polly Farmer.

This is what someone wrote in another thread in regards to this matter:

'And Jason Akermanis isn't (aboriginal) either (someone included him on a team in this thread). Aker has a column in the Queensland newspaper The Courier Mail and he wrote that some months ago.'

Not saying this proves it but I really don't think he has any Aboriginal background.

ot tryign to turn this into an aker thread but he was named on an offical AFL listing of aboriginal players - which caused surprise at the time
i think the AFL would have published a correction if the info was incorrect
