whatever. i just find the 'trendy inner north' really cliquey and pretty monotonous. i'll concede the girls are probably better tho.
still, there's no way anyone sane would rather go out in richmond than the city.

Depends on the night. Friday night CBD is pretty great really, heaps of options. Can be a bit dicey around King St (when you're young you don't realise that though, used to spend a lot of night at the old Spy Lounge back in the day when Danny and Dale ran the door) though. But Saturday in the CBD is ass and the rest of the week is meh.
I like the Fitzroy bubble (and I acknowledge it is a bubble) just for the variety and yeah, the people and multicultural side to it.

I live about 2ks away from Brunswick St, I hate the place and the crowed on that street. Really odd bunch of people on that that street.

The Granny at the Curtin was sick fun. Beautiful, sunny day and a really good clientele. I cuddled a few blokes from Perth and ended up with free Coopers. I was also robbed in the handball comp. I don't think you could find too many better pubs to watch the GF in Melbs if you're young enough in the Inner North. Where'd you end up going?
By the way, mate just hit me up so it seems I'll be on the grog tonight. Is there literally anywhere on a Wednesday? Been right into the pool lately but just checking in case something bigger's on...

idk about wednesdays, i remember a spookily quiet guernica after disclosure. you can see cheap stand-up at eurotrash, it goes ok, $6 pints.

Checked out Jungle for the first time last weekend and wow the vibe is insane, right up there with recovery at Wah. Will definitely be back will try to kick on later than 12.30 next time I go.

Shuts at 3 PM now I think? I use to go every now and then and made it to 1 pm, had an epiphany that it was time to pull up stumps.
I detest the 'how long can I bend' culture that seems to be seeping in to the scene these days. Well done mate, you popped a few shitty overpriced pills and made it a few hours past sunlight. By all means, have a bender, just don't do it by the ****ing clock.

there's definitely a weird sense of achievement in going home under daylight.
Ding Dong can be ****ing awesome. Been to some great gigs there and they play really good music. They often have a night where they play English indie rock, went to an Arctic Monkeys/Strokes night once and the dance floor was packed and I had the time of my life to be honest.
Can also understand why it wouldn't be that great when there's no one there, done that a few times too.

Isn't that Weekender? I went a few times but it was always so inconsistent. I have had some pretty profoundly fun nights having a sing-alongs at Ding Dong itself, the night Cant Say have there every month is the best ratio and best average you'll ever see, and I saw the Cribs there once and it was the only time I had to leave a pit it was so intense and hot. But the Thursday night they have, Dingers... well it's a typical Hugh Waters production - you always feel a bit lame heading there
I don't know what they call their nights or whatever, just sayin, I've had some good times there. There's nothing inherently wrong with the layout of the place, and the crowd/girls are generally pretty good so when a few people rock up it's fun. And good bands play there.
