Best trade - Worst trade

O'Reilly can't be topped, although I do smile whenever someone mentions:

Out: Jordan McMahon
In: Pick 19 (Callan Ward)

:)
Lovett and Groom come close.
You could do/ Im sure its already been done, a thread on Freemantles dud trades

Yeah, thats old news, moving on........

12 minutes later.

You see the thing about Stephen O'Rielly is the fact that he could have been a very good footballer if he wasnt such a ****ing **** sucking coward piece of dog fingering, ass licking, horse faced, back stabbing, wanking loser ****.

:D:p Need to take your own advice. Haha.

But yeh a couple of the trades with Hawthorn did not end prettily but we're getting them back recently.

Worst would have to be the pick 6 we got for Nathan Brown being used to get Rawlings in the pre-season draft. Went well for everyone, Hawthorn blew the pick on Danny Jacobs and Essendon used the pick on Kepler Bradley. They also got Alvey who bombed.

Groom for McLeod was a good one

One that comes to mind is:

In: Mitch Morton
Out: Pick 35

Between Bulldogs and WCE:

Bulldogs received: Pick 30 and 35
WCE Received: Pick 20

Pick 20 ended up being Tony Notte. XD

Too bad he wasn't a cheat like the rest of you.

The eagles got pick 20 that they used on Tony notte as part of the Judd deal.

Out: Sherman
In: First round Harbrow compo pick.

Could be our best trade ever, and their worst ever, in time.

Or Karnezis could be a hack and we win the trade. Bit early to judge don't you think?

Brisbane trading for Fev could go down as one of the worst ever. Not only in they players they directly lost but the effect it had on guys like Bradshaw, Brennan etc

Yeah Fev had a noticeable affect on Bradshaw at the club.... given they were never at the club together.

Incorrect it went:

Morton --> Richmond for Pick 35
Pick 30 (eagles had already) + Pick 35 --> Bulldogs for Pick 22
Pick 22 --> Scott Selwood

Eagles weren't going to use pick 35 so they bundled with another pick and upgraded into the 20's. Essentially they received Scott Selwood for Morton

Not much to seperate them plus Morton is over three years older than Selwood

Seems a pretty fair trade to me*

*NOTE Adelaide gave Hudson + 43 to Bulldogs for 30 + 38 which they picked up Jarrhan Jacky and Myke Cook respectively and Bulldogs picked up Sam Reid at 35 and Easton Wood at 43

Seems pretty good for all parties involved

He left because he was offered up in a trade for Fev. If you didn't trade for Fev you wouldn't have lost Bradshaw for nothing

Dont stop there Bulldog.

This years Lions best and fairest winner also left becuase he was offered up for trade in the Fev deal.

If Brisbane didn't take on Fev's massive contract they would have had enough cash to keep Brennan as well. You can more than likely add Mitch Clark to departure lounge as well.

This is how its panned out (so far):

Brisbane: Fev, Bartlett and a first round pick upgrade in the 2010 draft.
Because Vossy wanted Fev, Brisbane have given up: Rischa, Bradshaw, Henderson, Lucas and Brennan. Clark will leave at the end of next year but you can also add Brisbane's future, salary cap and finals for the next decade.

This trade is on par with the Stephen O'Reilly deal.

Considering the Circumstance I think Wayne Carey for Adelaides Picks 2 and 17 (Daniel Wells and Hamish McIntosh) went alright

Out: Sherman

Duritz, Sydney offered you a higher pick, you can't tell me the Dogs overpaid.

Out: Matthews
In: Voss

Enough said

I second this. This would have to be a contender for worst trade of the last 20 years. Jonofan hay equals spud:thumbsdown:

And you used that pick on a bloke who has had more acl injuries than games played
