Hey, can someone guide me as to where I can find the supposed rule that delistings made in UF are not valid. The obvious place to look is the other stickied thread for BDFL but the only thing I could find is in Section 2 Trading and Transactions, as follows:

5. No trades will be permitted following the conclusion of Round 16 for teams involved in the BigFooty Dynasty finals. Following the conclusion of BigFooty Dynasty finals, all teams will again be allowed to trade. During the off-season, teams may delist players and trade draft picks and players after submitting their lists with two available spots.

Are there any other rules except for the ones on Page 1 that I should be aware of? Obviously I am not going to wade through 271 pages of that thread.

This needs to be put to bed. Neither of us will be sifting through 100s of pages to locate where this was made. I know I joined in season 2 and it's been common knowledge that delistings had to be done via the thread. We have had a few rule changes that wernt updated in the OP. Like not actually needing to have a minimum number of draft picks. 1 ruck instead of 2. Live trading through the draft. We have evolved through friendly discussions.

No one has been "shafted" by Rockford he simply made a judgement call based on rules we generally had for years. With the benefit of hindsight yes with so many new coaches who wernt around we should have made it clear and reinforced any expectations. However rockford did state yours was an easy fix. So the issue wasn't even between you and rockford. So maybe let's not now create one.

You new guys need to understand the other side of the coin has happened. Where rockford has gone by the keepers, not added a player to a squad. Then copped it for not following the thread that the player was not delisted in the thread.

The problem from this morning was my good buddy deeman87 delivered his logical point of view a bit too aggressive. Either way these 2 have sorted it. There's no need to continue.

Rockford did make a post about letting him know about any errors, he would have found a solution but would have felt attacked.

We need to remember rockford uploads the lists every season. Any discussion about what you think is an error can most definitely be had, it's all about how you deliver the message. I don't think it's appropriate for us to keep at it and be asked to find a specific post.

Thanks for your reply WGS. I see the sentence in this thread and it does make it a bit clearer, although once again, it does not specify that delistings made in our game platform (UF) will be ruled invalid. What happened this year seems most unfair to the 4 coaches affected. I do know the work involved in running keeper category leagues as I ran 2 of them myself in UF. ( Neither survived the UF sellout to AFL Fantasy unfortunately as not enough coaches wanted to put in $10.)

No he actually didn't, he responded to what he took as being attacked. He never actually said even in the peak of arguing that he refuses to do anything. He actually said yours is an easy fix. He told deeman work it out and he will. The issue was between 2 other people, they have sorted it and it turned out deemans list actually didn't need fixing.

Well ur not 100% right here, i re-read what he sent to me, he hasn't actually said he will fix it he said it was an easy fix and for me to tell him what picks need to be fixed. I assumed when he said it was an easy fix and that given id withdrawn my request he would fix it but having re-read the message im not totally clear if hes waiting for me to tell him what pick Northern Dogs is supposed to have or if hes just going to do it. So Northern Dogs can you please let us know what pick you are supposed to have here so someone can fix it.

As I said I don't disagree with opinions that are held, I disagree with how they were being delivered. I don't think we need to rehash it lol. Which you didn't. I was reply to Northern Dogs because he brought it up again. We can fix it without the bickering again IMO

Obviously I agree, all i was saying is that we may need to tell him what pick ND is supposed to have. But yes we need to get over this and move forward, the faster this is fixed and the sooner the draft starts the better.

Yes , 44 is mine and he is fully aware of it. I think he also needs reminding that there is a clear rule banning personal abuse (entitled little sh..s, was the term if I remember correctly). This rule is even written down unlike the one that seems to be so well hidden, if it even was ever a rule.

Notwithstanding all this, if the error is corrected, I'm prepared to move on as I do appreciate the work put in. WGS in particular has been an absolute star over the last few weeks.

There’s 2 different ways of doing the set ups. I and Jordie_tackles also had a league that went for quite a few seasons BFFL. I set things up most seasons.

i used to do it the way you do it. So youll see when a team say only has 3 picks, in the 4th round in the draft you will see empty spots, but then for the team that had 3 picks his player appears in the draft if you get what I mean. Where as Rockford actually makes it completely clean.

example in the PRC draft you see flaps has Tom McDonald

at pick 50. Pick 42 where we are at to pick 49 is empty. Then all clear again until pick 62 which has Harmes.

so technically tenderwarrior who has 51 that is actually the 50th pick of the draft. What Rockford does I think is readjusts everything so we see tender has pick 50. He will then find an irrelevant slot for Tom McDonald

I wasnt willing to dissolve the league over such a minor thing. Look dude i was angry too, i was furious this morning, i saw red, he saw red so did you. I have however adjusted my way of thinking because we have 14 coaches in this league, its been running for 10 yrs and i dont want to be responsible for dissolving a league because a couple of people got into it over a few draft picks. Do i still think what he did was technically wrong? Sure. Did i handle it totally the wrong way? Definitely yes. In the grand scheme of things i think it was handled poorly by all parties but im very willing to admit i played the major role in this dispute amd i blew it way out of proportion and if someone reacted that way to me in PRC id have gotten as angry as rockford did, so i have apologized and moved on.

Had i asked him nicely to adjust it and then he went off at me it would be a different situation but that wasnt what happened and generally when someone yells at you for multiple posts on multiple platforms after you just put in many hours of effort, you are gonna get angry back and you are well within your rights to get angry back. Its not actually about the picks for Rockford its about how it was handled and how i approached it. So with that in mind, i dont care about pick 60, nor does Bowski, we want the league to go on and i want to play peacemaker. I am not going to continue to get angry about this. We have put many years of work in and with the exception of today i have got on great with rockford so i do not intend to continue to incite conflict.

All that said, he just needs to adjust ur pick, insert 44 back into the draft and move the picks behind back 1. I wouldve done it but i dont have the login details. Lets play nice pls mate coz if u keep on with the angry tone its not gonna get fixed and the leagues gonna be dissolved so pls mate, just let him fix it.

I’m sorry I have Rockford back on this. You need to adjust the attitude and the way you’re delivering your POV. the way your speaking does come across rude. The showdown was actually more deeman vs rocky. You just got caught up in the middle of it, there’s no need to keep piling on. Like suggesting there was something dodgy by allowing extra time to finalise delistings, or in this post saying the rule is so well hidden or if it even was a rule. Yes it is the rule. it’s been the rule for a long time. And yes in hindsight us that have been in longer shouldve been more clearer. But it’s easy to get complacent and forget these things.

Yeah he may be fully aware of it, but he was attacked. he Actually never rejected the idea of fixing the issue. He simply stayed neutral and said come back with what it should be. Had of things stayed calm he would have worked with you for a resolution. But he was attacked from the get go. Him asking for others to post what needs to change is a reasonable thing to ask. He is just doing data entry really And doing us all a favour.

Agree or disagree it’s irrelevant, he simply acted on the rules we have had for a long time. Attack the rule and not the person following it. And I agree we should have been more clearer with so Many new guys here that’s how it works. What you need to understand and I did mention it this rule came about for a reason. We had the opposite happen once where a player was taken off a list and this time it was ”no I never meant to delist that player“ despite there being no tick. So the rule came about that we must announce delisting on the site. Which isn’t hard to do.

The league won’t get dissolved lmao. If for example 1 or 2 do quit all that will happen is I’d find 2 peanuts to take over, rape them in trades for defenders, then try get them to quit and find 2 better coaches.

technically If someone was to now post “this is bull he didn’t announce the delisting so nothing should be fixed” they would actually be correct. So let’s play nice. Rockford said he’s busy this weekend so we need to give him the information we want changed respectfully. Which he originally did ask people to check their lists.
