Looks like there might be only the one decent matchup this week and that is the Bloods v Sebas. Both teams hanging around the bottom part of the 6 with a couple of teams snapping at their heels. Would be huge for either side to make finals after being absent for so long, Melton since 2007 and Sebas 2000.

Fair to say the winner plays finals and the loser prob doesn't. Loser has to prob win minimum 2 out of 3, get some good percentage and hope results go there way.

Melton have a better run home, play Ballarat, Sunbury and Marsh

Sebas have EP, Marsh and South.

If I read the word CULTURE one more time on this forum "I'm gonna spew up!"
CULTURE! the most important ingredient a football club needs to succeed, Darley being the best example of that this year. I don't know how many times they have been written off, due to the amount of injuries they have had to endure, big outs with reserve & under eighteen players stepping up to the plate. Don't ever under estimate the word CULTURE because if you do, you don't understand the process!

100% agree Slyone. The best cultures get the best out of the talent they have at their disposal. Only have to look at the great sides historically such as Redan, Darley and Sunbury in the past where blokes are happy to sacrifice and do what's best for the team rather than chase individual glory. They have sustained success because of it. Other clubs may come and go with talent they have but those that are able to bottle the "culture" are always thereabouts

At 1;28;31 you will see what happens to the Wallan player who takes a mark next to the Centrals bench, that's a lack of culture & why this club has struggled for years, you need to rid yourselves of imbecil's like this & he is a part of their bench.

Tell me more about this thing, because I obviously know nothing about it! Is it good for a club or is it a bad thing? Because I'm not sure I'm getting it from your example.

Not good. Should be suspended for min 8-16 weeks IMO.

Having said this I have a big issue with the number of officials on the interchange bench. There is way to many. Who is this person anyhow as his not near the coach. It’s idiots like this who will cause leagues to issue vests to officals like junior footy..

Coach, Assistant, Medic , Runner. That’s all imo.

Should we allow line coaches x 2 and team managers in there. I reckon 4 is more than enough on the interchange bench.

I'm actually really impressed the way the Wallan player didn't retaliate, it could have got ugly. I don't know who the imbercil is, the club needs to be rid of him. Its a culture like that which will bring a club down.

Looks like maybe the final 6 could be settled. I don’t think Sunbury or Sebas can win enough of their remaining games to jump back in. But you never know the comp is still very even.
Only spot that appears certain is top spot going to East.

So 3 years after Peddo's "honest" thoughts on the club's long term future were considered crap the club now is exploring options.

Assuming the juniors would cross over too which would be disappointing for the RDFL.

Yeah I saw something about the meeting and have heard from a few people that it may be about going to WRFL next year, was surprised when I heard, I thought if they were going to move it would have been back to the RDFL.
Good luck to them if they go to the WRFL, its my belief they would lose many players but that's only my opinion. They belong in the RDFL, I WISH THEM LUCK.

Part of me says go for it. 10 teams would mean no bye, 18 rounds and play each team twice. Actually think WRFL would be an ok idea. Different market for players to choose. Means Melton has a team in 3 different leagues.

Is the 3 different leagues a good thing though? I’ve grown up being a part of and loving the rivalry between Bloods and South, maybe if South went to the RDFL a similar thing might develop with Centrals. Also that one home game a year against a Melton rival could turn over some serious dollars.

Yeah know what you are saying here and agree but I reckon South recognise they may need to do something different and try and attract players who want to play in Melbourne area. They obviously have the coin but this is the only way they attract players.

Attracting players isn’t their problem, they have a lot of recruits and their points allocation is on the limit or close to each week. Their issue is selecting the right recruits for their club.
A decent coach with their list may have seen them close to finals this year. Hopefully for their sake they have the right man in the job now.
If they are as unprofessional, unfit and poorly coached next year in another competition, it won’t help them. Hopefully with Pritchard having half a season and a full preseason to get their act together they can improve a bit.
Anyone know how it works? If south votes to move, do the other clubs or just the BFL have to sign off on it.

Anyone know what happened to Lake Wendouree yesterday? They had been in better 'form' than NBC and at home thought they would have been favourites.

Few injuries and just a bad day at the office or something more sinister?

Any word on if Melton South have had their meeting and result. Lots of talk out our way about clubs looking for a change also. Makes you wonder what the master plan for AFL Goldfields is. With one Sunbury team already in the EDFL, the other two in the RDFNL looking at EDFL you can bet that Sunbury Lions will be forced to pursue it again. Anyone know what Goldfields plan is, or don't they have one out your way as it appears nothing been done out our way.

Word is the big Fev may be lining up this Saturday for South. :)

Had the meeting and 1 person voted against. Approx 80-100 at the meeting.
That’s only 1st step. Long way to go yet.
