Reckon Zampa would be a better Test bowler now as has better consistency of deliveries. Don't need Warne like turn but do need variations.

However, it's not looking likely.

I think in his position, he'd be mad to play test cricket. Given his rating in ODIs and T20, he still has 5-7 years of great earnings, travelling the world, bowling mostly 4 overs a night, it'd be a great life.

It is why I sometimes scratch my head at Maxi wanting to play tests so badly, tests seems such a commitment

Agree he can make more money & play for longer in white ball.

If Zampa wants to play test cricket, he would need to sacrifice earnings & perhaps longevity... which is why i gather it won't happen.

Smith close to making a 100, currently 90 of 52
Still wouldn't play him in the Australian T20 side.

... but what the heck has happened to Tye & why did the Scorchers recall him?

Smith should still be in the rotation with the David/Stoinis lower order role for the Australian team. Added bonus that you can push him up to play more defensively if there's a collapse at the start.

Dinesh Karthik is playing in the SA20 match that's on currently.

Indian players permitted in the BBL is one of the things Australia should be getting out of being the muscle for BCCI/Big 3 conspiracies.

Good match, except for the last-wicket partnership. The captain should have left D Short bowling to carry the momentum and get the last wicket at the appropriate time. The 40-odd runs lost here would have done a lot for our NRR. I don't believe I'm being wise after the event because I thought as much at the time.

I thought the same. Haskett not so bad in his last, certainly D Short was at risk of being similarly hit. But Buckingham ruined his evening.

But the charity overs to Haskett and Buckingham could cost the season.

Not sure if it was on C7 but Fox kept putting the camera on Haskett's parents. Once or twice may have been ok considering the old man took a catch in the stand, but it was ongoing. The mum (if it was the mum ) looked totally pissed off.
