I don't think channel 9 has a problem with having a gay guy on TV at all. Isn't their newsreader gay? It's just the natural affection that would have been shown by the two had they reunited in the house is what they would have baulked at. They didn't want to show two men hugging and kissing like people in love do. That's inequality pure and simple as we are happy for hetero signs of affection to be seen on TV, but not gay ones. The whole series we were bombarded with the snogging of various men and women in the house. Ben and his partner were pushed behind closed doors.

If you disagree then that's your prerogative as I respect your right to have an opinion.

I have disliked the nasty comments about ben based on his sexuality in this thread just as I have disliked the nasty comments about zoe's looks and build. But if people are just expressing that they don't like their personalities then I have no problem with that.

Some of the posters in this thread have been so obnoxious that it has astounded me at times. But not all. Anyway I am not getting into a gay debate about it just trying to make my opinion clear.

If you or anyone hates gays then that's your problem, not mine.

Cool, so what do you call them reuniting on stage in front of the audience and on national TV? They kissed, they hugged, they held hands and got engaged. Very homophobic channel 9.

The secrets revealed crap is a good example. They showed some real nasty things said by Michael, Ben and Sam. For the women they showed nothing interesting and Zoe had a panic attack knowing there was plenty to show. And they showed nothing.

Props to estelle, not many people can go on live tv for 80 days and have that sort of abuse levelled at them and not bite back once. She deserves more, but beating zoe was probably justice enough

I agree just a dog of a bloke. Brad should have put one on his chin after the water incident - but Ben is a coward and went after the weakest in the house. He did that the entire show. Australia just rewarded a bully.
 
Ben was a two faced bitch.

We saw his true colours early on with the way he treated Ryan and when he threw the water in Bradley's face.

The fact that a lot of the housemates thought he was wise and mature just shows how immature they mostly were.

Think the gay vote would have made a big difference because of the gay marriage issue.

The whole reason to watch a terrible show like BB is so you can bitch and moan about it.

Majority is a bit of a stretch. He had a few close friends, the others have to be nice to him to avoid being labelled homophobes.

Big Brother brought the lols himself this year. The ignore the intruders task was great especially Ray's random trust exercise and the trade from an early series sniping at Ben ignoring him along the lines of "got nothing to say huh? Bet you will talk about me behind my back when I'm gone".

Zero chance - he was a scared little man - he felt better about himself by bulling Bradley and Estelle. The two easiest targets in the house. A strong man stands up for himself - a stronger man stands up for others.

Imagine the outcry if it was reversed?? He would have played the gay victim card. Pathetic human being - no wonder his old man did not support him.
 
Seriously tho how did B-rad or Radar not win? Apart from Estelle they were the only two genuine people in the house who didn't care what others thought. But they also both stirred the pot. B-rad for his insults and sly, sleezing on the bishes and Radar for pure arrogance and entertainment. How Australia saved Angie and voted out Radar all those week ago I'll never know! Baffling...

More a case of knowing if they dont back him theyll end up being talked about like estelle and hell get his minyans zoe and stacey to have a go at you for the rest of the stay. Hes an absolute bully and also a coward. there are 2 quotes to sum him up:
a - he wouldnt throw water in sams face
b- when ray said "nothing to say to me? Ill bet you talk about me behind my back when im gone"
 
Therein lies the problem. Even when it was down to final 3 they were bitching about estelle.. then even when she left ben throws away the horse.Now theyre all out and all of them are still doing this ...

The problem is all these "popular" (stacey zoe michael josh) came out of the house and started advocating to vote for ben all over bb and twitter. Which means all their fans start voting for ben. Wasnt too long ago Estelle beat both ben and stacey comfortable, but add their votes together and they have her covered. Same with Layla and Sam.

Just not meant to be, but its clear who the better person in all of this is

I was dissapointed that Josh, George or Ray didn't pull him up on that. Yet when Brad said something inappropriate jokingly, they all jumped down his throat.

Her boyfriend must be mentally ill. Most disgusting and annoying person I have ever seen. They seriously needed someone like Paul in this series who wouldn't take any of the popular groups shit. Paul would have torn Ben to shreds.
