will give you sloane for your worst ranked fwd?

By the way, did you mean the player rankes as the worst (Sumner), or the player I consider the worst (Lynch? Varcoe? Kommer?) Either way, it's a pretty good deal for me.

I've just realised I have players from all 18 clubs - I wonder if anyone else has that?
Interesting stat that one.

I was probably everyone but Freo/WC before the offseason. Now I'm everyone by WC/GC (Aaron Hall was my only player).

I'm surprised I have 6 Tigers. 2 are from this offsason. I didn't realise that I was up there with that many. Also 5 GWS / 4 Crows players.

I only have players from 12 teams, including 7 from Port Adelaide and 6 each from the Roos and GWS. I could be in trouble during the bye rounds... No Adelaide, Brisbane, Carlton, Collingwood, Hawthorn and Sydney players!

Here I was thinking I was the most reliant on GWS players! I've got 5 GWS players in my squad and 5 from both GC and the Tiges after that last draft.

If we were assuming that everyone was playing, I could field a team from 5 clubs: GWS, Richmond, Adelaide, Gold Coast and West Coast :)

B: Bugg Vlastuin Russell Kolodjashnij Laird Brown
C: Ward Whitfield Shuey Prestia Ellis
R: Naitanui Lycett
F: Cameron Tomlinson Martin Hall Vickery Grigg
U: McDonough Battersby O'Hanlon

Rockford's Raiders Rookie Rundown

Pick 1: Jack Martin
Pick 5: Kade Kolodjashnij
Pick 8: Jack Billings
Pick 16: Dayle Garlett
Pick 18: Lewis Taylor
Pick 52: James Battersby
Pick 85: Matt McDonough

I'm fairly happy with this draft haul. I think I've added some real quality to the list with Martin, Kolodjashnij and Billings and there's a lot of potential for Garlett, Taylor, Battersby and McDonough to provide something for my best 22. Astute observers will note that I have actually ended up with a crop of U18 All Australians in this draft (Martin, Billings, Garlett and McDonough won a spot in 2012. Taylor, Battersby and Billings for the 2nd time in 2013). This definitely wasn't intentional, I didn't expect Battersby or McDonough to be available at my later picks and had Crouch been available at pick 18 I wouldn't have thought twice about taking him. It also wasn't intentional to take 5 forward eligible players. I don't think it's too big a deal given most of them are dual-position but realistically, any of those C/F draftees are going to have to do something pretty special to get a spot in my best 22.. whereas all that KK or Battersby will probably need to do is get named to play.

I'm hopeful/excited about all of them obviously, but the more I see of McDonough the more I like. I picked up Hutchings last season with my last pick of the draft and he ended up repaying me in spades, and I think McDonough could provide similar returns. I'm looking forward to seeing him play in the next round of the NAB cup and I'm sure flaps and richcogs will join me in hoping he stars for the Tigers and cements a spot in their best 22... how old is King now anyway? ;) I think if McDonough can increase his pressure on defenders inside the F50 then we'll see the Tigers opt for McDonough's class and pressure over King's pressure.

There's questions over any of my selections from pick 16 onwards as to whether they'll make it at an AFL level. If they do though, they stand to be very fantasy relevant and push other, more solid but potentially less spectacular, players from my best 22. I look forward to the day that I'm able to play a forward line with all of Martin, Billings, Garlett, Taylor and McDonough... and the day when a forward line with those players causes whoever we're playing that week more than a little bit of concern.

My pre-season and draft balance is as follows:

Yes, GWS and Port have a bye on the same week (round 9).

Not sure whether everyone has set their best team or not but the predictor has me losing 1 game this year. To Rockford 5-4.....i would give 3 other games to win that one :p

I don't think the predictor means much at this stage - so many players are predicted to get all zeros.

He is an ok pick up still only 40% he will make the cut though I think. Miles looked good around the packs on Fridays and better through the middle.

Yeah, Miles was pretty impressive on Friday... if he gets upgraded he'll be a great option for the Tigers too. I'd take 40%, especially at pick 85 :) Just shows the pressure on young players these days: the kid was an U18 AA, has only had one full season on an AFL list, excelled at VFL level during the season and was serviceable in his debut at AFL level... and still he's only 40% likely to make the cut.

I reckon the predictor would have me finishing almost dead last, so I choose not to give any credence to it. I have improved my team through trading, but I hope the biggest improvement comes through my squad having an extra pre-season under their belt and playing extra minutes of game time per week, as I would guess more than 2/3's of my list have played 3 seasons or less..

Yeah not sure on the predictor.

They have Vardy going statless while Siposs has 15 touches and 2 goals and Weller has 20+ despite being unable to play without someone going on the LTI list!!!
