I knew I had to try something new against good opposition, so I tested out Manual Player Selection.... Bad Choice.... My god it's terrible some times.... You change player and it goes to someone no where near the guy you want....you change again and you get a guy a bit closer, but still not in the contest... What a terrible attempt at what should be a good feature. *rant over

Things didn't start well, with all of my team lineup and tactics stuffed. I only adjusted my lineup beforehand, which had changed because I played my offline season earlier, and only found that my team tactics were wrong half way through the second quarter.

Scooty smashed me early, getting some very easy goals. I even took a mark, didn't move yet it was called play-on, was tackled then Scooty rushed it forward and got a goal... Felt jibbed with that...not that it affected the result.

It's hard to counter the centre bounces against a guy that knows how to use Freo. No matter what tactics you've chosen, all of your midfielders run forward of the ball....which is useless when it's going the other way. The best you can get is a 2 on 1 (against you)....which Scooty just lays a sheppard, and is away.

My kicking on the run was terrible, costing me what should've been 4 sitters.

In the end, I was beaten by better opposition.... I reckon he'll take out the comp. Well played mate.

P.S jorel, I'm not sure if I'll make finals, but if I do I thought I'd let you know I'll be away from the 19th August to the 22nd of August. (Going up to Sydney to watch the Saints play the Swans). Just a heads up.

Hey, I was thinking the other day....what's everyone's age?

We hear people say they have uni/work late/have school/have a wife and kid.... but how old is everyone? Who is the youngest and who is the oldest?

I turn 27 at the end of the month.

24 here... just finished uni... 6 months of solid work before i start my CPA (im an accountant) busy season at work at the moment hence the unavailibility too late most of the week (going in early most mornings to keep on top of everything)

After 13 rounds of fantastic competition i have finally been defeated, and as it turned out pretty much dominated at the hands of nino! We have a new favourite everybody, the pressure is now off me completely and fully on his shoulders

Came into the last quarter 20 points down, with Ill kicking the first and leaving me feeling the game was dusted. Got a run of goals leaving me fighting for what would be an extraordinary snatch, but illnino's handballing (as usual) and spot up passing (an added bow for him) were too good. I missed some sodas on the run, and had 2 play on calls without sprinting cost me 2 goals (one after a mayne mark, 1 which he turned over and goaled) but full credit to my opponent, was superior in alot of facets and fully deserved the win

Can't wait for another crack in the finals

You did miss a few....and I literally wiped the sweat from my forehead each time

As for the 'play on' calls, that one in my forward line where I got a goal from it, I was completely not paying any attention because I was too busy trying to man up your players further down the field, and because I have some music crankin' on my earphones I didn't hear the play on call and when I looked back my AI teammate had already tackled you and so I instinctively kicked the goal.

Also felt bad when I bumped you in the back late in the second term which made you drop the ball, I was actually trying to bump you before you got the ball. Anyway, thought I'd give you back the ball so ran away from the contest with my player, but once you got the ball you kicked to straight to him! Haha

Great game though, really enjoy matches against you mate

Haha mate, my slight ill feelings are towards the game not you (dont have any really, i accept that i was very well beaten ) Plus there was no way you could have known if i was sneakily trying to ply on around you or not!

Literally didnt notice that haha, i have no problems with in play bumping, in the back or not, so i wasnt looking for any give backs. I actually thought that was you doing it deliberately as a tactic haha!

I seem to jinx my opponents anyway. The last 3 scheduled games they haven't shown up. What time's good for you?

Btw, I think you need to rest a lot of players going into finals, wouldn't want to risk an injury
