Tried to read this book, found it to be very bland and boring. Need to give it another go I know but it can wait.
It is very much academic in its prose (as in precise, detailed and repetitive to the point of being less readable than it should be.)

I think once you get the gist of what each chapter is trying to tell you, you can skim a bit and read the summary at the end.

One of those books that everyone should either read or be taught about - it shows how wrong we are so much of the time.

Two deaths from 4th April:

English children's writer Lynne Reid Banks aged 94, author of the popular 'Indian in the Cupboard' book series in the 1980s.

Australian Rugby League player Bob Lanigan aged 81, played for Newtown Jets in the 1960s, coached at various clubs in New South Wales and New Zealand and was an administrator in the sport for many years.

Cole Brings Plenty, an actor in Paramount+’s 1923 who was reported missing earlier this week, has died. He was 27.

The sheriff’s office in Johnson County, Kansas, shared in a news release that deputies were called to Homestead Lane at approximately 11:45 a.m. Friday in reference to an unoccupied vehicle. Authorities said they were searching the area when they “discovered a deceased male in a wooded area away from the vehicle,” who was later identified as Cole.

Garry Van Egmond, the Melbourne-based rock promoter who toured AC/DC for more than 30 years, has died.
Friends and family of Mr Van Egmond confirmed his passing on Sunday night.

He was 82.

Fifa Riccobono, former chief executive of Albert Music, which manages AC/DC’s music catalogue, said on Facebook: “Terribly saddened to hear of Garry Van’s passing. I worked on tours with Garry over four decades and he was always a pleasure to work with. A great promoter and a wonderful human being.”

Popular Channel 7 reporter Nathan Templeton has tragically died.
It’s understood the 44-year-old father of two was found near Barwon River on Monday evening after suffering a medical episode while out walking the dog.

Over the past couple of years, Templeton retreated from the limelight, to deal with personal issues.

A longtime Channel 7 reporter, Templeton was much loved within the media and sporting community.

This will have the cookers out no doubt.

Was shocked to see that news break. 44 is far too young to be passing.
