Feel like it's similar to picking someone on the basis that you think they're a chance to get shot. Like, his odds of seeing out 2025 are probably no better than Trump's and he's worth a few more points, so there's merit in the pick. On the other hand, if you know of a rapper whom people seem to be enjoying taking potshots at from out of moving vehicles at the moment, well, if they'll get you 65-80 points, that's pretty attractive.

My first time participating in this comp, didn't take as long as I should have to compile the list, so a (presumably) pretty standard rush job of Google searches and Wikipedia check of past nominations where terms like "stage 3/4", "spread", "focusing on treatment" would pique my interest. Feel like the truly unique/big score picks would come about more randomly, e.g. being connected to someone's verified social media page.

Like, his odds of seeing out 2025 are probably no better than Trump's and he's worth a few more points, so there's merit in the pick. On the other hand, if you know of a rapper whom people seem to be enjoying taking potshots at from out of moving vehicles at the moment, well, if they'll get you 65-80 points, that's pretty attractive.

My first time participating in this comp, didn't take as long as I should have to compile the list, so a (presumably) pretty standard rush job of Google searches and Wikipedia check of past nominations where terms like "stage 3/4", "spread", "focusing on treatment" would pique my interest. Feel like the truly unique/big score picks would come about more randomly, e.g. being connected to someone's verified social media page.

I have a friend who LOVES that I play this game and gave me the tip must have been early 2023. Sat in my notes app for a long time. The real surprise is just how many people selected Bruce Willis yet again.

Steve was on my list last year, so was an easy option to retain

Bruce is one of those difficult decisions - he's not someone I want to see die, could well live another decade but for the purpose of the game I'm happy to give that spot to someone under 70
