Prater has been dead since 1988 so it makes senseI heard they hadn't spoken for over 35 years. So sad

ClarkeM could you please tag me for the 2032 game?
Thanks for the idea but it would get buried within weeks from other conversations I have. Oh well, no biggie. These days you can start a private conversation with yourself - Just title it "Join DL game in December 20265" or something. It's always there to remind you.
I realised I should've used this song yesterday when GreyCrow asked me to use my voice after he left me off Black Bart's recipients.
Turns out I got the chance to use it anyway!
Hey siri can you remind me to remind ocha about this game at 11:55pm on December 31st 2025?Can I get tagged for 2026's one in December or something please? I keep meaning to enter but forget.
People may have selected the wrong Iceman this year. RIP Darryl Pearce - former Adelaide 36ers and North Melbourne Giants NBL champ and Boomers representative. He was 64.

No way! Was he sick? I hadn't heard anything. One of the icons of the NBL's first golden era.

I watched 'The Yearling' as an adult, and though I dont remember why, I feel the same way - a great movie though, so maybe I will watch again! Two American actors who would be better known in the USA but still recognizable to Australians of a certain age:
Lesley Charleson Aged 79 - Appeared in quite a number of movies and TV shows in a long career, but best known for her amazing 46 year tenure (1977-2023) on the medical soap opera 'General Hospital' in the role of Monica Quartermaine.
Claude Jarman Junior aged 90 - Teenage actor of the mid 1950s to mid 1950s. He appeared in Rio Grande in 1950, but his best known role was his first, that of Jody in 'The Yearling' in 1946, with Gregory Peck and Jayne Wyman. The Yearling while without doubt was well-made, for me it is one I saw as a child and would not dare watch again, like 'Old Yeller', 'Where the Red Fern Grows', 'Storm Boy' and 'Lassie Come Home'.

I can relate. The Cat in Boondock Saints had me in stitches the first time I saw it.It's just too sad for me, i can't handle movies and TV shows where animals die. Depending on the genre and context of course, I couldn't stop laughing at the UK sitcom 'The Worst Week of My Life' where the bumbling son-in-law Howard accidentally dispatches his in-law's dog - a nasty, yappy, snappy dog - by means of a cement mixer.
