We couldn't afford quicksilver or rip curl or billabong when i was a kid. I was rockin the Catchit range (pronounced cat shit).Rip curl and quicksiver owners used surf with each other every morning at Torquay . In fact there was no point calling the companies till after 9am

Made of tiger skin?Imagine my surprise and delight when I got my first pair of real jeans. Other kids had Levis or Lee. Mum sent me to school in a pair of Tiger Tuff.

Former footballer and Geelong Football Club Hall of Fame member Ken Newland has passed away aged 75.
Vale Ken Newland
The Geelong Football Club remembers iconic player, Ken Newland who sadly passed away aged 75.www.geelongcats.com.au
Here's his iconic "six flights in a lift" moment from the 1967 GF:
I recall with fondness his single season with the Bulldogs in 1976 – including the EF when he kicked three goals as the Dogs were rolled by – ironically – Geelong.
RIP Ken
Ken Newland is only one of two players I can name - the other being Justin Murphy - who departed their team for a rival club only to return 'home' the following season.
In the case of Ken Newland, his two stints at Geelong in 1965-1975 and 1977-1979 saw a year at the Western Bulldogs in 1976. Justin Murphy left Carlton at the end of 2000 for Geelong, but his new home at the Cats in 2001 proved not to be to his liking as he was back at the Blues for the year 2002.
Interestingly, both Newland and Murphy's last games for their one season club* would be against the team they had transferred from and would return to the next season - Geelong in the 1976 Elimination final for Newland, and Carlton in Round 22 2001 for Murphy.
* Murphy also played for Richmond in 1994 and 1995, and for Essendon in 2004 and 2005.
Didn't Jack Gunston just do it? Or have I misunderstood you?
