The earliest replies are more likely to be accepted (although I will be giving the coaches who missed out on a spot in a higher league a second chance to join up in this).

How many leagues are their this year for bigfooty K??

It impossible to tell how many leagues there will be.
It appears the drop out rate increases as the rank increases - so this is a variable that I can't yet predict.
Probably over 20 leagues

Count me in! I've been waiting with baited breath for Div 7 to be posted, and must admit i'm champing at the bit... well, sorta.

Btw how come you've included more than 16 people in this league, is it just to get the ball rolling a little faster? If so, great idea as i can imagine there's going to be quite a few leagues this year and Round 1 is fast approaching. But awesome job so far Kildonan.

Definitely trying to get the ball rolling - people are getting impatient, but there is still plenty of time to do a thorough job - K

Nothing personal, but how does a person with an unknown ranking, get into division 7?


I made a judgement call - Tarquin - Lion El' was a top 200 finish in 2007 but had a disastrous year in 2008.
I PM'd him and we discussed his situation. I took a risk and promoted him to a compromise position - I take full resposibility -
I felt it fairest that if he fails to live up to his potential (and I doubt that he will fail) then he should be in my league.

So if I piped up about my top 300 finish in 2007 and equally disastrous 08, then I'd have managed to be some 10 leagues higher than I eventually will be?

To be honest he wasn't a squeaky wheel at all.
This is one of the reasons I actually considered offering him a spot in my own league - I have been open and transparent in all my dealings - so if you are determined that if it can't apply to you then it can't apply to anyone - I will reluctantly abide by that. There are one or two others that got a zero in the first round and I thought to myself - what a shitty way to start the comp. The whole season would have been ruined. I offered to bump up one or two of those players so that they don't suffer two years for one glitch. I haven't advertised it because it would mean more work for me and I am already doing an awful lot. I presume you would want me to bring those two players back as well.

I was just being facetious, Kildonan. I'm happy to work my way up like the rest of them. Was my fault and my fault alone for where I finished last year (though an arm long injury list might have also played a role).
