The BigFooty Emerging Star is different to the NAB AFL Rising Star. It is under the same criteria (under 21 as at 1/1 of that year and 10 or less games before the start of the season).

I have decided they can be nominated, but can't win the award...Players can get nominated and then suspended in the AFL Rising Star. Being suspended then nominate shouldn't hurt. If he is good enough to be recognised, fair enough.
