Atheist supposedly hitting New Zealand in their tour plans, would suggest the bigger island might get a run too...?

Finally getting around to big screening a pro-shot or whatever of the Pantera reunion. Only a few songs in, Benante totally nailing it.
Benante was like a metronome, perfect timing and nigh on perfect replication of Vinnie's drumming. My mates and I were talking about it at the Adelaide gig.

Anyone interested in the melodic side of black metal mixed with a healthy dose of early Katatonia really needs to give this (live in the studio) album a listen. "Disheartenment / Alone / Steal My Corpse" is musical perfection.

May be of interest Pweter ?

I like the song Sceptres of Venice from that album

Well, that Sodom 40 Years at War Deluxe Edition I ordered got cancelled; received an email saying it had been lost or damaged in transit. Got the refund, but still disappointed. Found a distro in Czechia that stocks it, but they don't deliver here. I suppose if I'm really desperate I can try mail forwarding from the UK, and have it sent there.

Cheered myself up by ordering the Deluxe Edition of Mayhem - Daemon. Ordered from Discrepancy Records, which being Australian shouldn't have any problems shipping, you would think.

Man that sucks.

Man that sucks.

I'm just checking out the mail forwarding service from the UK, it's not too bad so I'm thinking about it.

The real problem is my need to own anything shiny that catches my eye...

Cheers, will give it a spin on my morning walk tomorrow

Why I wonder?

Yeah that's ****ed. CU sing about bog standard dm topics. **** these venues that cave to anonymous emails from political extremists who have zero to do with the local metal scene.

It’s even more ****ed if this reply is true IMG_6462.jpeg

I think it’s because of the bands maybe a Nazi band, so Cemetery Urn are one by association apparently. If the one questioned is Nazi, why they don’t just kick them off the bill of the other festival line up?

It’s all ****ed though

At Cavalera gig.

I hate slam.

How ****ing bad was it? Crowd hated it. Drummer has the energy of an 80 year old and the riffs the 'core' bros have come up with are terrible. Turns out they are signed to DAL hence why they were forced on us all. Belongs at some deadbeat hc show imo because it isn't metal.

Yeah I don't get it, makes me feel like an old man yelling at clouds, but breakdown parts are supposed to be impactful because they break up the song and change the tempo. Making them the entire core of every song is ******ed.

Anyway, Cavaleras were excellent. Who ever thought when Max was in his full jumpda****up era that we'd ever hear those early songs played live again? I feel very appreciative any time I get to see the originators do their thing. Watching Iggor especially was awesome.

How good was his boy on the Schizophrenia solos?!
