Someone who IT smarter than me needs to a tracygrimshaw versus the rest of the top 10 to work out who his PODs are.

I feel like cheering for someone other than my team of spuds

I'll take a look.

Unless I'm really lucky with injuries, I'm pretty sure I won't have a chance at the league win. Will run out of trades before the GF even if everything goes to plan: Harvey, SMitchell and Apeness to be my last three trade ins..
Ha.. I thought I was the only person on Big Footy to have or want Apeness, definitely well worth the 20k premium on Brown or Thurlow IMO.

Do tell.....o_O
For the rest of the season, but more specifically rounds 20-22 Apeness is far superior in terms of emerg or captain's loophole (SC 1st week finals and prelim's are horrible for Nth and Essendon for mpp and loophole purposes) ..Plus he has a cool name!

Wow looking at that tracygrimshaw is in a great position

Defence he is the best
Mids - I like the 6th placed side with Cotchin on the bench
Rucks - he is the best due to stef martin as cover
Fwds is the only questionable area, Pav would be my major concern, Petrie i think has turned the corner and if he kicks straight will be a regular 100 player

Bloody awesome summary @GOAUS

My thoughts from a brief look are:

- How the hell does the first team not have Bartel and McVeigh in defence!?
- Your defence is the strongest
- How many trades are left Tracy?
- I think not having Fyfe in the mids is a big loss, he will pump out big 130+ scores from here on out
- No mid bench cover at all really, hopefully Honeychurch can stay in the team and get some higher scores for you. Can't see Hartung coming back at this time of the year once he is finally fit again.
- Rucks are so damn good, I am so jealous. I wish I didn't pick spud Lobbe over Jacobs at the start! lol
- Be great if you had a swing man for Stef Martin up forward
- 4 risky forwards, which could make or break the season for you. Could be the difference between the win and dropping out of the top 10 completely. Petrie, Pav, Tex and Zorko. If they all spud up in the one round, which is possible for those guys, you're in trouble! They could easily do the opposite and all go huge! Risk of having many key forwards (I know Zorko isn't a key forward! lol, but he certainly is as consistent as one). I guess you can add Spuddy into that category too, but he seems so consistent lately.
- Further on from above, lacking Boomer and a Gray/Parker.
- How do half of these guys not have Stef Martin? I think you are an advantage with this one. When (not if) Sandi gets rested you are going to have a huge advantage. If he got rested this week or next, before Leuy comes back, you will gain so much!
- Finally, a lot of critique I know for someone that is 5th overall!! I am sure you know all of this already anyways man.
- So proud, bring it home bud! You have us all rooting for you! :)

Summary is wrong? I'm placed 9th and don't have Bews?

Edit: I get it now. Overall, not league :)

  • Aside from SMartin with a negative BE, my $$ production has completed stagnated (with Cutler, Hartung, King and CCameron) and have less than a handful of trades. So I will really need everything to go my way to have a chance..
  • Since I have no money being generated any longer, I am happy to hold my trades for now. The only other option is to trade Smartin to a playing rookie ruck - perhaps Apeness if he gets a game or two in the freo forward line? Then use that cash to do 2 final upgrades. Boomer plays the Hawks and Cats before round 20 and then GWS, WB, Adel and Bris in the last four, while Pavlich plays Melb, Stk, GWS in the next three and then 3 top 8 sides and Brisbane to come home. Hopefully I'll be able to find the cash by then. This is also depends on whether I get any unforced injury trades in the next few weeks..
  • Petrie and Walker are going to be looped where possible, but Cameron is not the best agent, thats partially why I'm considering Apeness instead (only 2 games where it doesn't work). With Petrie finding a little form and some easy games coming up I'd be happy with him at F6, Walker at F7 is another I may be able to sacrifice for cash if required to fund the last upgrade of Pav > Boomer
  • My mid PODS to Fyfe, Rockliff and Liberatore are Ward, Goddard and NDS.. Ward and Goddard averaging about 120 over the last 5 and NDS with an easy run coming up so might be able to break even. Honeychurch is my F/M switch, so I can throw Zorko/Martin/Dangerfield in unless its a really late out, then Tex comes on the field or alternatively SMartin later on if I choose to keep him and if I can put in a F/R.
  • SMitchell is another one I'm considering, but will be at least Rd18-20 before he is ready (due to price drop from injury game). Now I have the problem of Langdon's mirroring price drop, so perhaps I will trade Burgoyne out for Mitchell instead?
  • Langdon is a terrible loopholee in the backline, with 6/8 games where I cannot have him as the first part of the loophole (ie. emg) - Would like to trade him out for someone playing earlier in the round, but will probably just leave him as backup for injury or trade him to Mitchell if I can find the money *Putting the Emg on a premium exposes my backline to late outs, as well as not being able to catch Langdons huge scores ONLY.
  • Hoping Birchall and Hibberd miss a few weeks as rumoured, and maybe even Sandilands, Jacobs and Dangerfield as they would expose some +PODs for me.
Players that need to play score poorly for me to have a chance:
1. Fyfe
2. Harvey (over the next 3)
3. Rockliff
4. Liberatore
5. Parker
6. Hibberd
7. Birchall
8. Murphy
9. SJ
10. Gray
if anyone knows someone who can 'give them an injury' I'd be fine with that ;)

Btw there is a really good thread on a different board on the race for the overall prize if anyone is interested.

Cheers guys!

The only concerns I have is relying on Pav/Petrie/Tex. They'll make or break you. Most others have Harvey/Parker to counter that. Lets hope those two stink it up. Ruck injury/rested would benefit you greatly too.
The others have **** all cover and will have to burn a trade.

One more super premo mid like Fyfe would be a huge addition. Ceiling is sky high.

Good luck tracygrimshaw Were all rootin for you.

Petrie is a huge worry this week against the Hawks. Poor/sub-premo record against them. I'd definitely be E loopholing him this week ahead of his other KP forwards if I were tracygrimshaw.

I dare say he'd be started Tex against GWS over Petrie.

Can't really add too much than what has already been brought up tracygrimshaw

Remember Dimma was out of trades by rd 19 last year, if you see a move that will benefit you, go for it.

'No regrets'

Other than that, good luck, :thumbsu:

Well toxic the teams are out.
Are we on for the Susan Boyle avatar or should I send you a box of tissues?
