Think that's why Pep loves relatively small squads. There's never more than 1-2 players not getting regular minutes.

It's the evenness that means he can easily drop anyone on any given day outside of Haaland and Ederson

It's why Pep roulette is a thing in FPL. He could pick anyone in probably 7 or 8 spots and the quality of the side barely drops

Baleba could be another Bissouma or Caicedo who aren't as good elsewhere

I don't see Pedro as a striker more of the Son mould. Solanke over Welbeck and Ferguson for the hold up tap in 9

Mitoma or Pedro over Johnson

I'm looking at this to play Angeball too, so the 2nd winger just needs to be a tap in merchant but one who can dribble would be nice. So Pedro would be ideal for that role.

Half agree with the why Brighton's squad have the advantage. It's not the expectations for mine, it's the evenness and lack of egos of it.

Minteh/Adingra/Gruda can rotate and nobody kicks up a fuss.

We have Dragusin well behind our 2 CBs and stories emerge of discontent. Same goes with when one of Sarr, Biss or Maddison drops out of the midfield. And that then means guys like Bergvall and Gray only see mins in a B team environment

We've had our fair share of injures but look at this lack of rotation after 11 league gamss

Total players used: Spurs 22 Brighton 25 (excluding 3 who left late Aug for brighton)

8 starts or more: Spurs 11 Brighton 7
4-7 starts: Spurs 3 Brighton 9
3 starts or less: spurs 8 players Brighton 6 (excluding players with long injury lay offs)

Caicedo has been excellent for Chelsea this season he's in the discussion for team of the year so far.

Pedro isn't a winger. He's a 9/10 hybrid, he's like Jesus but even better imo.
I agree with the angeball thing, Johnson works as the wide st, same way Kulu works as the box to box mid but might not work in the Brighton system. Odobert could be that dynamic second winger behind Johnson but who knows.

I guess the point though is you can easily argue Brighton players into most positions which shows the spurs squad just isn't ready to be a top 4 regular.

Yes but that's the difference, Brighton are in 6th and they finished 11th last year. Tottenham finished 5th and are in 10th this year. Brighton manager is hailed as a genius people want ange sacked. The expectations are different. You even said yourself if he doesn't finish top 5 he will be let go, if that's the case you aren't hanging out starts to 18 year olds lightly

I want to make it clear, that lack of rotation and a B team mentality isn't a new phenomenon or an Ange problem

It's been that way for us for 10 years

Big reason why I’ve wanted us to actually rotate the kids on the bench.. best way to develop (homegrown) depth

The side is clearly good enough for it, the underlying stats show it, and we aren't miles off it.

1. Romero brain fart cost +2 points at Leicester
2. Brain explosion / softness +4 points Brighton and Palace
3. Flatness and poor squad rotation +3 points against Ipswich

Could argue the case for more soft drop points along the way. But get a combination of 2 of any of those 3 things right and we sit 3rd right now.

So on one hand it shows the squads got enough there. It's not like we've plucked these 16 points together. It's 16 when it should be between 20-24 with how we've played.

But at the time I think shows why the club did only give a short term deal to Ange. Because it's easy to walk away at the end of the season, saying you had the cattle but botched a good 10-15 points, and we think manager XYZ will find them. Here's a 2 year payout with the 2nd year watered down too
