Bigman’s Training Reports

Bad news guys. Went to AAMI today and the ground is being scarified. They must be training elsewhere probably Richmond. So no report today fellas you’ll have to rely on Ingram and Money.

Should be able to get a report on Wednesday though.
You need to be more discreet next time BIGMAN

I wonder if you rang the club if they would tell you where they are training whilst West lakes is getting it's turf rejuvenated.... Maybe they had an AFL max session, they seem to use that facility a bit.

How do we go about getting you official press credentials so you're kept in the loop and we don't have a repeat of this fiasco? Your reports are better than both of the guys you mentioned :p

It would surprise me if there was not a Club representative lurking on this board so if there is, can we ensure that bigman is kept in the loop for any changes to training locations.

During the pre-season, his posts offer more fan engagement than anything that is posted on the mainstream media and the Club's website or socialz, and it costs them nothing!

Peatling got a big write up in the paper this morning based on Mondays training session.
Thanks for this. I will try and find it on adelaidenow. I was just about to post if anyone knew how he was going. Seen a lot of good reports for Cumming and ANB, but curious about his progression.

PEATLING BRINGS THE HEAT

Adelaide recruit James Peatling continued to show why the club was so keen to bring him to West Lakes, with the Crows skipper Jordan Dawson in his sights in another extremely physical training session. While it was a new location for the Crows’ pre-season session on Monday, going out to West Adelaide’s Richmond Oval, the physicality during match simulation continued to stand out. Former GWS midfielder/forward Peatling set the tone with a fantastic tackle on Dawson just moments in.It was one of several moments in which Peatling impressed. Starting in the midfield and going forward, he also showed nimble feet to send SANFL recruit Blake Drury the wrong way in an attack, while he also showed some good foots kills at times. It’s early days but key Crows figures are impressed with Peatling and fellow recruits Alex Neal-Bullen and Isaac Cumming. Melbourne premiership player Neal-Bullen isn’t just impressing with his link-up ability between the forward line and the midfield, his leadership has also stood out. It wouldn’t be a massive surprise if he is added to the Crows leadership group. Cumming continues to look classy with the ball in defense during match Sim, but also had some good defensive moments on Monday. The key is going to be whether the former Giant can keep fit after he was plagued by soft-tissue injuries in recent years but so far it has been extremely positive signs for him. Peatling’s tackle wasn’t the only big one at Richmond Oval on Monday. Forward Ben Keays absolutely crunched young defender Max Michalanney during match-sim. A number of players were managed from the session. Talisman Taylor Walker sat out after reporting hamstring soreness on Friday, while Luke Pedlar is also dealing with a similar issue. Riley Thilthorpe, Mitch Hinge, Luke Nankervis and Jordon Butts were also on the sidelines on Monday – while Wayne Milera ran away from the main group during match sim. After tearing it up last week draftee Sid Draper was also managed on Monday. Young defender Oscar Ryan, who has also impressed, suffered a corky before match-sim happened but is expected to be fine, while the Crows announced on Monday that back-up ruckman Kieran Strachan is expected to be sidelined for four months after having foot surgery on Friday. PLAYERS WHO IMPRESSEDDAN CURTIN Used forward at the start of pre-season, the former No.8 draft pick was used in the midfield during match-sim on Monday. The 197cm tall was used as a big-bodied midfielder last season and it looks like the Crows could again use him there in 2025.JAKE SOLIGO Looks to have significantly improved his tank with some gut running impressing in particular on Monday. Josh Rachele and Izak Rankine were also thrown through the midfield at times during match sim so the make-up of the Crows’ engine room will be one to watch. CHARLIE as a taller midfielder, Edwards was used at half-back for what appeared to be the Crows stronger defensive unit during match-sim. He provided a nice contest at times and whether he stays in the backline is set to be something to monitor
