Considering where we were expected to finish I would argue I have shown considerable growth whereas you have bombed out in a big way.

I'm not surprised. I've tried to factor in adjustments for bench players and vice captains, but I'm well aware my calculations could be completely wrong.

i can concede this "real ladder" gives an interesting indication of "real ability", but it doesnt tell the whole story in some ways. eg i had 1 suspended and 1 injured when i played john, but didn't bother trading them because i was pretty confident i'd have enough points to win without them.

so the points FOR isnt necessarily a flawless ladder system either.

Well spotted NANX, but that means Fred's reserve (Cotchin) comes in, and he scored 87 points.

So my revised dodgy calculations are that I lead by 62 with Didak to play up against Wood and Medhurst.

Revised dodgy prediction: Grim by 2 points.:)

If my calculations were correct I would have won, but I forgot to take off Tippett's score (27) and what do you know, I end up losing by 2 points!!!!!!!:mad:

I was following the scores and Wood got a lot of points late in the game. Reckon I might have been in front with not long to go. I feel a bit like the Lions getting pipped at the post at the last minute by one of the bottom teams.

Geez you are a whinger. I've been narrowly beaten by sub-standard teams all year due to freak occurrences. They find a way of scoring an extra 300 points when they are drawn against my team. :rolleyes:

The Magoos sent a warning to the top 8 by beating a competitive John's Team by 800 points. Next week they play against the worst team in the league. A team that has scored 1000 less but is still level on competition points. :rolleyes: No doubt they will lift for their "grand final". I now know how Mick feels - Big Game Fatigue is a very real phenomenon.
