many of us admire what the board are doing with scant resources, but there are also many in club land putting in a huge amount of effort to do the same for their club - sponsors, finance, strategy, football operations, etc
each club is like a mini bdafl board it is just the decision making power and scope of control that is different - no doubt we need passionate and committed people in both areas but it is not easy to attract them and keep particularly if personalities get in the way
without regular meetings to poll clubs and without so good old treading the boards to find sponsors and staff - it is funny that i have not seen the GM position advertised locally or in the state press but hey do have responses - maybe the clerical or admin role that is required could come from a new graduate - so advertise at the uni or tafe
same could be said for the person handling financial matters - a grad would do the job on a small retainer - they need the money to pay back HECS
