Five weeks sounds like a pretty long stint but he did rund 20 metres to punch the bloke, who did nothing to provoke it. In fact it seemed Rick was trying to antagonise the City player who pushed him off and ran away. Rick just ran after him and socked him.
Rick White is a good player and he is going to get matched up on every week but I am not sure he cops as rough a deal as you make out.
He gave away 2 50-metre penalties because he disagreed with the umpire's decision on Saturdy.
I think most taggers just play tight on him because he loses it so easily.
There is little need for taggers to rough him up because there is no reason to risk a busted nose when he will lose it over a free kick, fair tackle/bump.
To me it seems the thing that sets Rick White off is things not going Rick White's way.

John McKeown, the founder of the Warners Bay footy club, is leaving to move to Canberra on Saturday.

He's a terrific gentleman who is now in his late 80's and has been forced by the ailing health of his wife to move to be closer to his family.

Mac was President of the Warners Bay Club for 25 consecutive years after he founded it and did some very hard yards with schools and juniors for many many years. He's a life member of the Warners Bay Club and the BDAFL. He'll be sorely missed at Warners Bay and he is indeed one of football's gentlemen.

I saw the Warners Bay vs Lake Macquarie match on Saturday. Despite the scoreline being lopsided in favour of Warners Bay, it was actually a very physical match where the Macquarie boys gave as good as they got.

The pattern of the match was that Macquarie managed to hold Warners Bay in the early part of the first three quarters only to be overrun after their opponents absorbed the pressure.

Despite the lopsided result, the Bulldogs will know they have to work on concentrating for the full match. Lake Macquarie outscored them by about three goals in the last quarter which is a bit of a worry......it looked like too many of the Warners Bay lads were happy to push into the forward line but not so happy to get back and help in defence. That said, they were about 20 goals up going into the last quarter so maybe than can be excused for being a bit lazy.
 
Based on Lake Macquarie's effort on Saturday, when one looks at the result of the Terrigal v Killarney Vale game, Lake Macquarrie would have to be looking at a very possible win in their game against Killarney Vale this weekend.

All reports are Killarney Vale did not score a goal until half way through the 3rd QTR. It would appear they are missing the presence of Rick White.

I do not wish to be disrespectful Mr BDAFL. I was talking to the umpire who reported Adam Dugan on the weekend.

He said Mr Dugan pleaded not guilty but after hearing all the evidence the tribunal found him guilty. He said the tribunal gave him 4 weeks. I notice you have mentioned 5 & the BDAFL web site says 5.

Does anyone know which it is?

not only missing rick, but also schell, shackleton, cutler, higgins and solomans...but i still believe terrigal would've won...is the comp being done by competition points or that stupid match ratio????

I don't think you're being fair, Duck. The three active members of the BDAFL Board are trying their utmost to make the competition as attractive as possible. The truck is an excellent initiative rivalled only by their decision to veto catch up footy matches that clubs want to play.

I think next season they should charter the bus to take the rep team away on its annual piss up! They might save a little on accommodation costs and they could channel the savings towards things that really matter.

I'd be willing to pay the annual fotune to get into the ground come finals time in order to see Borgy, Roger and the lads sing the coco cabana on the Carlton Draught truck stage. :thumbsu:

What you are suggesting would not be a pretty sight (or sound).:D

Tardus, you might like to tell me which night that was because I have never been to a karaoke night involving umpires and to my knowledge there has never been one!!!
Agree with you and Markalot though, it would not be a pretty sight. Maybe you both can join me up there, but something tells me you like hiding behind aliases!!!

Its no wonder you cant remember that night Borgsta, i think you had a few too many shandys that night. If I remember correctly you were up on stage with a carlton draught in one hand, screaming out the bass lines to the hit track 'kick that bass' by DJ Seduction. You only stopped to reminisce to the crowd about the good old days when you used to pick up babes at the crown casino.
I was wondering what your modus operandi was that night, but then one of the senior umpires turned to me and said "that was a bloody good song".:thumbsu:

Sir M. To address your question (and thank you for asking)

I am the original Tardus. If you look at my posts you will see I am classed as a "Big Footie Apprentice" & joined in Jul 2008.

The other one, who has hijacked my identity used an _ underscore to "pinch" the name. If you look at their posts you can clearly see the _ after the name. You will see that they are classed as a "Big Footy Newbie" with a join date of Apr 2009.

So I was here first.

By the way, this is not the only case of ID fraud. The same has been done with "Such is Life 9". They have added an _ underscore to this name as well.

As I have said before, they must be a very disturbed individual if they go around stealing peoples ID's. Which happens to be a Federal Offence.

I guess it would be funny if the _ underscore one was not such an idiot and treated people with some respect.
