All the ingredients are there for a BDAFL snowjob once again on this one......they've set the tribunal hearing for next week rather than this week.........my guess is that the President will have a word in the ear of the Tribunal and the Cardiff kid will get off........

yeah that will probably be the go even though it should be a suspension. you cant touch an umpire no matter what. you see it on tv all the time in the pros they accidently run into the ump and 2 weeks gone same sport same rules should apply. my words to the kid "tough luck"

Of course he'll get off. Cardiff know how to win! Have you ever seen an unkind league ruling against Cardiff stick?
Cardiff can play unregistered players, slap umpies and kinghit, its in the by-laws. Its only unfair if Central coast teams do it.

You only have to go to the Mick Ryan saga of 2008 to understand this comment. He clearly hit a bloke and got off.
As for the games this Saturday:

Under 18's Killarney Vale to win and win well.
Reserves Warners Bay to play about 6 senior players and knock Nelson Bay off in straight sets.
Saturday, going to be close so I won't put my tip in!!! Looking forward to playing on a decent ground Saturday!
Good luck to all.

this will be the best thing on GF day hahaha ^^^^^^

terrigal 18's will find it hard to win because of their best players backing up to play in firsts...

That did not stop the tribunal suspending Adam Duggan for 4 matches when reported and found guilty of calling an umpire a "cheat".

The fact that Duges has had that many trips to Swansea he should get a holiday house down there wouldn't have helped his case alot.

Not sure where you pulled that number from ???? Would be interesting if they did but. I think it would be pretty much the same team that knocked off Singo,Cardiff & City in the last few weeks.

which players are backing up?? was it like that last week?? shorely terrigal have enough good 1sts to not have to worry bout taking 18s especially in the finals

umm possibly cam shaw, elliot chandler, flinty and i think there might be 2 others(not 100% sure) also cam grentell(best kick in the league) was a late inclusion late week against cardiff, read into that what you will..

I don't know where the number came from Nature, maybe you can let the BigFooty community know how many players Warners Bay are going to demote from their senior side to win.
Really doesn't matter, Nelson Bay were ordinary last week and based on that form, should lose.[/quote

Maybe i'll leave you all guessing, or maybe you could go onto BDAFL website and and see who qualified and make a few more assumptions and come up with another magical number !!

Further to that..............any reserve grade side that played first graders in a prelim or grand final (where firsts weren't playing on the same day) would have a win stripped from them anyway! There are by-laws in place to ensure that only players who have played more reserve grade than firsts games can play finals footy in the ressies. All this talk about teams dropping first graders back is rubbish.

GF predictions:

Firsts: City by 3 goals against a Cardiff side that will have too much pressure on them again

Ressies: A huge win to Singleton on the back of their dominant season to date. will have far too much class and flair for a lacklustre Bulldogs outfit.

18's: Cardiff by plenty. They have the form and confidence aginst Terrigal in recent outings.

Thats good but they're playing Killarney Vale aren't they?

Nelson Bay would be very disappointed with their tail end of the season....actually thats a big understatment.

Started with a loss to City, then the first loss to singleton...bounced by a big margin in semi final 2 weeks later then bowed out against warners bay. Prior to Rd 15 you'd say they were a definate GF contender if not premiership certainties??? Something happened up there.....

As for the 1st Grade. The 2 best sides are playing this weekend. Very hard to pick but Cardiff have done a mountain of preparation.

Anyone close to the Nelson Bay club know if there is any truth to the rumour that there was a falling out between coach and players after the City game?

I heard he gave a few sprays and some senior players were less than impressed.
Don't know why that would lead to such a drop in form unless those players stopped playing.
Otherwise you would just go out and play to spite him.

Was up the Bay for the 1st part of the year, and all was well.As you can and probably should when winning, implemented a no train no play policy which I personally couldn't commit too due to work,, but I think it may of got some guys offside!
As for players there were 3 missing that I would have in if I was coach goin purely on field performance (not sure why they didn't play) maybe someone else can explain.
Shane ridgeway stopped the same time I did (dont no why) no 1 ruck best on ground when we knocked Singo off.
Jezza ridgeway 81 goals 2nd in league quiet semi but main/only avenue all year!
Darren emmet played only 7 but best on ground basically in all!!
Hopefully all is well and continue rebuilding, gr8 win in the 16's comp ( maybe another crack at an 18's team?)

GF predictions for the weekend?
does anyone give warners a shot in ressies? cause they rolled them last time they met and if singo turn up with the game already won the dogs could knock them off again.

anyone fancy city 2 go back 2 back in firsts or will cardiff not let this one slip away?

my predictions KV to win the 18's...

I just looked at the BDAFL site at the tribunal results. The young kid was found guilty and was suspended for 8 matches.
