Some people write the way they speak. They have exactly the same interior, or 'authorial' voice that they do in everyday vocal speech. I mean, I do that all the time. It looks jarring but it doesn't usually comes from a place of mischief or malice.

Lmao so true. The bodycam footage showed that the cop acted heroically and likely saved multiple lives... but the simple minded see an emotive headline and roll with it without conducting a single minute's research!

When the media article has the bodycam footage and chooses to ignore that key fact then you can be sure they are pushing an agenda.

The agenda is that protests and violence in the streets is great for ratings. So they will create it.

To say that George Floyd "sacrificed himself" for justice means that he willingly died for that cause. If there is change, then his death was not in vain. That doesn't mean he threw himself under Derek Chauvin's knee for that outcome. While it might be true that his death proves as a catalyst for sweeping police reform in that nation and finally assuring the notion that black lives DO matter, to say that he did all this knowingly and at the outset is just plain wrong.

How many people do you know who frequently begin sentences with "I mean"? It's not a hill I'm wanting to die on, people can talk how they wish, and I will call it cringe if I wish. To me it is lame teenager gamer slang, but I mean, each to their own.

Politics often seems like something of an old farts' game. The wait for seniority-with-experience and then for leadership makes most candidates seem closer to a retirement home than anything else.

The police would be crazy to try to get those people away. Besides, it's a free democratic country (of sorts) - would be hard to justify moving people away from a court.

I actually believe that a lot of this 'Russian trolls decided the U.S elections' story might be a steaming pile of rockinghorse sh*t. Yanks just don't want to believe that they themselves are this terrible and this f*cked up that their whole set of national values are now in shreds.
