Do you think you could confirm that he was actually from BLM? Article doesn't mention anything about whether he was protesting, counterprotesting, anything he was doing other than breaking the law.

Parents have every reason to be annoyed that dangerous propaganda is being fed to their kids in schools. Making out as if Floyd - a career criminal - was some sort of hero is dangerous territory.

He's not being made out to be a "hero" because of who he was or because of his past.

He's being put on a pedestal because he was murdered by a police officer during a routine police arrest, which has made him a symbol for the bigger issue of police treatment of black people.

If you insist on applying a narrative to the George Floyd issue, it would help to be accurate in doing so.
