Just watched the channel 7 sports segment where Bucks does his weekly footy tips. This week, Bucks focused on the Carlton v Collingwood game and mentioned that this will be Collingwood's 4th big game in a row so they have to overcome the "dreaded blockbuster fatigue".
Now I've been following footy for just over 20 years and this and have never heard of this blockbuster fatigue... Has anyone heard of it and does anyone know how a blockbuster is more tiring than your standard game?
Do the players have to go around and shake the hands of everyone in the crowd? Do they have a kick outside the ground with all the people? How does it work exactly?
More importantly, can I ring up my law firm and say "Reginald, I wont be coming into work today old boy. I have unfortunately been struck down by a severe case of the dreaded blockbuster fatigue and am feeling rather f***ed".
