I was 7 in 1981 and remember my mum saying she wished wells never played In the flag side, he was just a melbourne show pony.

Hated melbourne!!
1 was 11 at the time. Without looking it up im sure wells kicked the point after the siren which tied the game. We finished 3rd. Without the draw we missed top 3 ans maybe the flag

the carnage post shielgate is not something that gets discussed much - the unemployment, the broken marriages, the starving kids, the homelessness, cats & dogs running wild through the streets, looting, power outages, the police charges against innocent, frightened citizens who just wanted an end to the waiting
So much crazy shit going on and wasted hours. It will go down in history like Woodstock...if you can remember what happened you weren’t really there.

As talented as Martin is and I'm keen to get him gc can't seriously demand any more than a 2nd round pick he played 3 games according to champion data the worse side in history

GC is setting the ceiling. We have set the floor.

It'll be between 18-25 value.

Future 2nd plus a pick upgrade in the third is my guess

I thought Greg Wells who was no 1 was a show pony too. Played mostly centre and terrible blond mustache. Was well built unit for his size, but only came to Carlton for premiership.Did not do much in day or night GF, but played a few good games during year.

Yep agreed. From my perspective, we need a Jack Viney in this team far more than we need an Andrew Gaff at the moment.

We need a player who is a clairvoyant to read the mind of the opposition players.

If Jack can do that, good. If not, then not sure he is the answer.

Having said that, it’d be pretty cool having two Jacks in the one team.
