Everyone seems to be adding to the fuel that some itk and second rat journos think.

He is still in his role, how about we support the bloke rather than adding to the disunity.

SOS is gone, celebrate what he did and move on. Remember forever.

Liddle made a mistake by all accounts but does he deserve to be smashed like an avocado.

But for Liddle to be offering Ellis big $ behind his highly respected & successful List Managers back is a serious screw up.

To then force the List Manager out (for “conflict of interest” reasons) rather than apologise and get on with life seems unforgivable.

I may change my view over time but at the moment it seems Liddle’s ego is over riding his brain.

Possibly to Carlton’s serious detriment.

FWIW I’ve made my share of f*** ups over the years.

But for Liddle to be offering Ellis big $ behind his highly respected & successful List Managers back is a serious screw up.

This might not make people happy but I think it was a conflict of interest. That’s being honest. I think liddle was being honest. I respect SOS and I think he’s done a ****ing amazing job. Deserved of a statue. Lol (see main board page). He’s built a beautiful List with **** all resources. How many players have asked to leave Carlton? Not many.

BUT it will get to a point (with another son coming) that he will be forced to step away from decisions that the GLM should have a say on. Even secondary decisions like picking a general forward or KPD in future has implications on both Carlton and the sons of sos. He can’t be in that position. Liddle was right. The media are blowing this out of proportion and yes SOS is stubborn and he went down exactly how we excepted him too. Fighting for a list he believes in and getting the best for Carlton. The rest is just media bullshit. Just ignore it. When we cross 50,000 by Dec 10. The positivity will return. Wait till we beat richmond round 1.

Tom Lynch didn’t improve and went from being a fairly mediocre big bloke that could win when the physical odds were in his favour while captaining the worst team in the competition, to a Premiership player who bought balance and size to the side.

Sometimes being in the right place at the right time is better than being particularly good at what you do. Ellis will be remembered for his premiership medals, not his contribution.

He didn’t offer him big money. That’s why he’s not at Carlton.

In absence of facts we tend to tell ourselves stories.

Some may be true but often are not.
