However, he’s twice the player Dustin Martin is, and I’m certain Carlton, just like Collingwood, would be right across his personal situation, and would take all of that into consideration, and act appropriately.

From a pure footballing perspective, I’d get him even if it meant he was the highest paid player at our club.

Innocent until proven guilty is a very, very important principle in court. It is not relevant to a football club that is running a long campaign about respecting women, that would have to give up 2 first round picks for an accused abuser.

Awesome news re: JDG. Club is being ruthless.

Whatever transpires it’s clear there’s been a power of work in the background. I doubt the club would pursue JDG if they weren’t extremely confident he will be free to play, and from what I have heard the indiscretion doesn’t sound too severe: basically young JDG being young JDG.

Would be a huge get.
