How basic do you have to be to think that we’ll still have pick 7 to trade? Why is Watson bleating on about pick 7 when the current trading landscape allows picks to be completely fluid, and refashioned/broken down in all manner of ways?

Like, we’ll find a late first rounder that is exactly Saad’s worth, and move on.

For me, names like Wines and Oliver are going to be the new Pav and Kerr.

Currently just seems too far fetched. I mean why would Wines leave? He is literally killing it in the best team in the comp and have a player profile that can keep them there for a while.

Has any ITK got info on Stocker? The Hawk ITK who mentioned him has a very good track record who tells it how it is good or bad for Hawthorn.

He showed plenty in his first year, nice skills on both sides of the body and some genuine mongrel. He is contracted for 2 more years and I don’t see why we would entertain a trade unless we got close to what we paid for him. It would be disappointing to lose him after such a difficult year. If we were to contemplate trading him, I just think we should wait at least another year unless good value comes our way.

Yep I definitely think that poster's mail is legit.

I initially thought Stocker's value was low but you make a good point, given he is contracted for two years we really don't have to move him on unless we get similar value to what we paid (which would prove a valuable pick given our current need to negotiate other deals).

My preference is obviously to keep him but if he needs a fresh start we should be able to extract something decent out of the Hawks.
