Kiss Murphy goodbye he's gone.

Pendlebury and Thomas will re-sign, they feel like they are part of a club bigger than themselves - strong coach, strong board etc.

Walker will leave too - but this has to be a trade because Murphy will be their uncontracted player.

Walker has been terribly handled by Ratten while he's been in charge, and put up for trade last year - he's had a gutful and rightly so.
Walker was not put up for trade last year, he ASKED TO BE TRADED. There is a difference.

Let me guess your Parrot's more evil twin????? You've got a way to go to reach the Parrot's genius level of trolling. But keep trying- you can do it!

Yeah, me neither. But his performance last night clearly suggested a) he wants more money b) he is willing to publicly cast doubt on himself in order to pressure Collingwood in to a bigger offer.

If I was the list manager at Collingwood I wouldn't be happy. Thomas is putting the himself before the team here, and in a pretty big way too

according to an article on the HUN site this morning, it looks like Daisy is chasing a 2 year contract so that he can test out the free agency when that contract ends.

Was watching 360 the other night and they put up another list of players the GWS are after and 1 of those was Robbie Warnock.

Is his contract up this year also anyone ?

I think alot of players will be put-off by how Gold Coast have started the season, even with Ablett and the pick of a very strong draft. I'm starting to think that GWS might not land much at all.

Really hope your right HBF. I know I will sleep alot better when they actually have those signature's on paper.

Jeez, who would be worse to lose: Warnock or Murphy? Both have been so important this year so far. Imagine losing both:eek:

..pretty sure knockers is out of contract next year.. ..but we showed a lot of faith signing him up initially on good coin for 4 yrs.. ..pretty sure he'd wanna continue on with us.. ..Murphy ain't goin' anywhere, most likely going for good coin plus a long term contract i reckon..should get it too..

Not sure who reported it but it was suggested that GWS would be going after the uncontracted players in their second year as they have a two year window compared to GC's one.

Warnock is definitely out of contract at the end of 2012

Although GWS gets two years to sign uncontracted players. .. So if Murph signs with us this year and they don't nab another Carlton player then Warnock would be on next years list, as would Gibbs?

Anyone see Murph on Game Day? Says he put talks on hold to concentrate on his football (I hate that statement) He was questioned at to if he wants to stay at Carlton and he said hopefully, then was prodded a bit more and he said yes. Didn't sound terribly convincing to me. I don't get it - if you want to stay, sign that bit of paper. If you're blood is navy then why hold out for more money or better offers? I know footy is a business these days but stop stringing everyone along!

I cant think of a better way to concentrate on your footy than getting the contract out of the way instead of having it hovering over you. Going on his reaction I would say he is
definitely looking at other offers

He is playing the game.
Murph has been our best and most consistent player this season IMO and the longer he keeps playing like this the more his contract keeps going up.

Similar to Brian Lake a few seasons ago.

I'm confident he will sign for the Blues, and it will be for much more than what it would of been if he signed 2 months ago.

I hope that's all it comes down to, he'll put in a stellar performance, win the B&F, and the Brownlow, and the Norm Smith, then sign a great big contract that sees him stay a blue for the next 73 years. Fingers, toes and eyes are crossed.

*Possible slight exaggeration on my behalf, maybe

Robbo really pushed him into giving an answer when Murph clearly didn't want to. I'd imagine he's under instruction not to give a definite answer publicly in the hopes of milking a bit more $$$ in his new Carlton contract. Hope I'm right.

Murphy is staying and Warnock wouldn't back hand Carlton after Carlton stood by him he owes Carlton and he knows it.He wanted to come back to Victoria.Gibbs I'm not certain on his contract.

Still can't see him going anywhere. Even though I didn't see Game Day, haven't guys like Pendlebury and Thomas said that they want to get it sorted out sooner rather than later, even though they haven't been definitive about it.

Don't like it that he has said that he has put contract talks on hold, but I have enough faith in Greg Swann and Steven Icke to get him to sign on the dotted line.

LOL @ people thinking he owes Carlton..and the best bit...and he knows it.

He's gone people, get it through your heads. The only thing that might change his mind is if we put in place a coach that can inspire him.
