i always watch the blues games there, because it's 5 minutes from my house...always good for the sunday double header as well
can i add to the overwhelming wave of hate that this situation brings...i even emailed a few melbourne based journalists last year about the issue, this needs to be addressed in the next wave of broadcast rights...the sooner the AFL breaks ties with Telstra (and subsequently Foxtel) the better

It's Foxtel's choice to run the same game against FTA, this was part of the new deal because it's "better" for WA fans...no reason at all that Foxtel couldn't show a different game to the Freo/WC game on at the same time, as was the case with the previous broadcast deal.

foxtel bought the rights to these games when the broadcasting deal was being struck - it was an afterthought clause that was written in after all the deals on games were done that meant the games had to be shown by FTA in the homestate of the team
so its the AFL and the governments fault
Brisbane v Carlton is a channel 10 game this weekend
Fremantle V Port Adelaide is the Foxtel Game that they paid for the right to show as part of the arrangement
why then would foxtel show the channel 10 game when they have paid for and are using all their equipment to cover their game ??
