I was wondering about Gav seeings as Tex is here and I think his daughter could be our first Father-daughter pick. Or would that be a negative?

Longy would certainly be an interesting option for the board.
I don’t know if he has relevant experience is the main thing…

I’d like to see Michael Long on the board.

Also wondering if the constitution allows for an executive director, maybe one of the directors would become the CEO? Or the new CEO becomes a director.
Apologies if you've already explained but why?

I've thought this for while, but I'm convinced Dodoro is a source for Browne.

That would be funny and not beyond the realms of possibility.

The terms of reference didn’t allow him to call for Truck to be sacked in the not-review that he should never have been asked to write in the first place, so I don’t think you can necessarily conclude from that, that he went all in on Truck.

Although I am happy about changes, the thing that I’m a little concerned about is the people who handled Rutten’s exit and the botched attempt at getting Clarkson. They’re all still here and the people that had some sense (as per the reports) are gone. I don’t know how I feel about all this.

I should be excited about the changes today, but something isn’t right and I quite can’t put my finger on it.

Exactly as Lore has said.
He could not back Truck in the review because coaching positions where not in the review. Obviously research is not a big factor anymore. Brasher said at the time the review was not about any coaching positions . It was looking into any issues with development and recruiting and where we could spend extra money.

No way, it has got to be Hirdy. He is EFC. This is the way forward, and imagine what a finals appearance next year under coach James Hird would do. Inspired!
Which North supporter are you in real life?

Depends who else were talking about and who else is available.

Actually I misread your post.

It's pretty disingenuous to suggest that there was no mitigating circumstances in 2015.
I just don't see how Hird is even in the same postcode as other candidates. Brad Scott coached a fairly unwhelming North list to a couple of prelims, Ross Lyon (assuming he's interested) coached sides to grand finals, Pyke coached the crows to a grand final and has exposure to some really good clubs, Leppitsch hasn't had the same success as a senior coach but he's been around some highly successful systems, Yze is untried at the senior level but likewise has been in some very successful systems.

Even taking the supplements stuff out of it (and the camp in Pyke's case) I think all of those guys would get the nod on experience and merit alone ahead of Hird.

Robbo on if Mahoney or Dodoro will survive: "I think Dodoro will stay. He's got supporters on the board... Barham is a big fan and Sheedy is a supporter".
