Somehow Weston got more votes than Green despite his trainwreck of a radio interview.

Just over 20,000 voted. I do not know the exact numbers but I suspect that is probably half of those eligible to vote. The fact that Solly got the most votes just shows there are a lot of supporters who have the favorite son blinkers on.

If you weren't aware of the EFC supporter base being complete nuffies after the Wellman appointment then I don't know what to tell you? For me it really isn't any shock they'd also vote in Solomon.

I too had concerns about Solly. I have gone back and listened to this interview, he's pretty genuine, good character, and I would be surprised and really disappointed if he turned out to be a snake in a suit.

Solly seems like a good guy who cares about the club but I can't help but see him as the old boys grabbing back some of the control they've lost. If he's Sheedy/Hird aligned (as he certainly appears to be) then it's a step backwards bringing him in. I guess we can only hope he contributes to us continuing on the path we're on and not there to white-ant the current admin/coach to 'bring back the glory years'.
