Just heard on the radio that Murph is strugling to get up for tommorrow night. Would hate to lose him but what an oppurtunity for someone to come in up forward.

Considering he has not trained all week that is stating the obvious. Everitt will play for sure in my book.

Williams trained today at the G also and depending on how he pulled up is a real chance.

Would be a bad loss, but much worse would be for him to play & break down leaving us 1 short....Everitt comes in surely, & gets his chance to show he belongs.

Should be a few boys eager to prove last sat was not the real way they go about their footy.

Not suprising. His knee is not right and considering his output was down againts the Cats, they would be silly to risk him again.
Everitt in and maybe Reid or Callan for Gia.

heres a name i havent heard in years wade skipper any chances of coming in? im not his biggest fan but has got a big body an could kick a few goals give him one last shot at afl. but likely inclusions would b williams and everitt and most likely for hill and murphy

I think Hill is in more danger than Gia. Can't leave a leader out of the finals, he WILL get better.

Out: Bob :( Hill
In: Everitt, Reid or Addison

If Bobby does not play its a massive out.

Addison was prob about Willi's best last week. Everitt was ok against the pies and seems the logical choice but didn't play well last week at Willi. Reid looked hurt last week so I don't think he's a chance. Tom...would be a massive risk with so little match fitness recently. Skip was good again, but he's not going to be picked.

Its out of Addison and Everitt. Addison has it on form...but Everitt has it on his ability to play all parts of the ground.

I can't see any other outs unless we have an injury...we were not that far off last week...we just need 22 contributors this week!

If Murph is out, I hope Everitt comes in, and plays in Murph's position.

Against the Pies in Round 22, I saw him take a rippa contested grab near the 50 on the boundary, as well as provide great movement, and forward defensive pressure.

Like Gary Lyon's article said earlier in the week, some players need to step up in finals - maybe it's Andrejs...

why is everyone calling for so many drastic changes?
DO NOT drop gia!
welsh should stay in too.
why stuff around with the lineup too much at this time of year?

I am still confident that Murphy will play tomorrow.

His knee is obviously worse for wear. But there are no more than three games left in the season and they are extremely important games and each one potentially season ending. I could envisage that they would have him train sparingly during the week and then give him injections to get through the game. Its not really ideal but you go to those levels in finals.

I am not.

We really should be able to get past Brisbane without Murf, so if he can improve 5 or 10% by not playing such that he feels better for the PF then I think we need to give him a rest.

In an ideal situation you are probably right. But clubs sometimes are tempted to play injured players in sudden death finals because if they lose then its all over.

It depends on the exact nature of his injury is. If they can nurse a player through the week, jab him up to numb out the pain through the game and the players injury is not going to get worse through playing, then sometimes they will take the risk and play him.

Its a risk either way I suppose. Taking an injured played into a game is a risk. But giving a star player a week off in a sudden death final to rest an injury for the following week, is also a risk.

Because I don't know the ins and outs of his injury, I am not sure what I would do.

If Hill and Murphy are out we are going to struggle because those two are the closest players we have to genuine lead-up forwards. Hahn, Welsh, and Johnno are going to have to have huge games.

We hear this name every week when every Tom Dick and Harry thinks he will add something to the side. He hasn't broken into the side what makes you think he will now that its finals time?! His name should be banned on here from now on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Attended training today and kept a close eye on Bob. He and Cooney had a 15 minute kick to kick with one another while the other boys played an improvised game of keepings off with a tennis ball. He joined in during the handball and kicking drills, but to my uninformed eye, he did appear a little uncomfortable. "Moving gingerly" is about the best way I can describe it.

Maybe the doctors can get him up for the game, but it wouldn't suprise me if he missed. Could be a huge opportunity for the young bloke in the number 3.

I agree, wouldnt want to play Bob if he is that under-done, too much of a risk, perhaps rest for next week. His disposal has been ordinary lately, no doubt due to jabs and a numb knee.

Someone has to come in, make an impact for the chance to play in the GF

Everyone is saying Everitt will come in, but I wouldnt discount Hill coming back in if Bob is injured.

As this is a knockout final you would think if Murphy can play he will play.

NO sense resting him for next week as there may be no next week.........

Imagine Murphy saying "I could have played but I was saving myself for the week after" if we lose.......shitstorm!!
