Good to hear.
Does anyone think it's time he was moved into the centre for us? We could use some serious creativity out of the middle or am I alone in this train of thought?

well I had the whiteboard out today and moved the players about and came up with a centre line of
Power, Murphy, McMahon
Imagine being a good leading forward on the end of their work??

With that line Werribee will go well with Westy in the centre

I had Westy as rover .
Who would you have as the leading forward B54? What about Fewster?

Fewster can just stand in the square and pluck them out of the air, our leading full forward will be a more mobile and athletic man who has never played forward in his life, Brad Bootsma
But if I can be serious for a minute. Next year I'd have Grant in the backline roaming, Croft at full back and Penny at CHB. Bandy at CHF, Hunter in a pocket and continue with Browny and Johnno rotating in and, out of there. I noticed someone earlier said our midget forward line had proved a failuere. IMO in general it has worked well, 100 goals betwen Browny and Johnno and we were one of the leagues highest scoring teams. Our problem is the same as past years, our backline.

My comment on the midget forward line being a failure was based on three indisputable points. My view, my opinion and my assessment:-
1. Tall key forwards are necessary to win big games including Grand Finals. I think it is no accident that our furtherest progressions in september have come when Cook and before him Beasley were playing for us. Whether they kick goals themselves or bring the ball to ground for others to score or just because the midfield has more confidence and a definite target which results in quicker delivery into the forard line the results are better.
2. Our record against the top four sides this year was poor with only Collingwood being beaten . This to me does not indicate our forward line worked well. Its all very well to beat up Fremantle and Richmond but something has to change if we are to play off in September.
3. Our current forward line does not give me surety that they will perform well on a big day. They have their days and other days they go missing. Bandy can be good then go quiet for long periods, Saunders while averaging a goal a game this year also averaged about that many kicks and even Grant had many lean spells. When this happens it all falls back onto the smalls and while both Johnno and Brown are capable of kicking 6 on their day they cannot do it every day and its a bit much to demand it in a GF as your only hope of kicking a winning score.
Don't get me wrong , I love the dogs but there is a reason why we finished in the bottom five and I know its just not the forward line but i do believe sticking with a small forward line wil not get us there. There is a reason why teams with forwards such as Lynch, Brown, Lloyd, Lucas and Carey win flags and teams without key forwards do not.
