Hi.

Back before the season started Wosh put together a thread collating all of the various competitions that are run in Sweet. I think she saw what I did back on the Freo board last year with the Bob's Health & Safety Protocols Bingo competition, and suggested I put another bingo comp together. Initially I thought "Do it yourself, you don't tell me what to do. I've got plenty of competitions already" but then, as this season has progressed, an idea came to me.

No, not that idea. This one...

Since the Baghdad Bombers Season 35 squad of 29 players was submitted, we've had three John Farnhamesqe 'retirements', plus the obligatory rookie permanent banning (or as the cool kids call them, "permaban"). That leaves 25 players, which coincidentally is the same number of squares in a 5 x 5 bingo card. So friends, I give you:

The rules are simple:

1. Reply in this thread saying you want to play Bob's Baghdadi Retirement Bingo by the time the next team sheets are due (any current Bombers are unfortunately ineligible for obvious reasons);
2. I will PM to those playing a bingo card with the 25 remaining unretired Bombers players randomly assorted on it;
3. Each time a Baghdadi player 'retires' (either via a PR exercise media thread or the more conventional permaban), then you mark their name off your bingo card;
4. If your card has one of the three semiretired Baghdadis being BLUEALLTHRU KohPhi & Pugsley on it, you may already mark those names off because life is sometimes unfair;
5. The first player to make a row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) of five 'retired' Baghdadis on their bingo cards and PM's me the evidence is the winner, and will receive a genuine BLUEALLTHRU bobblehead badge which looks like this: View attachment 1606263 (badge availability subject to board/site administration signoff ).

That's it. That's the competition.

Given there is so much interest from current Bombers players, is there any chance you could run a separate competition for those of us interested?

Of course, the results would be open to manipulation if we managed to score our own names on the cards, that never hurt any other competition in SFA history.
