Just got around to finishing the season and it has been a fantastic one, the underwater ep was amazing.

Was devastated when Sarah Lynn died, she was one of my favourites :(

when she kept saying she wanted to be an architect, then they finally go to the planetarium and says she doesn't care about the projections, it's all about the dome construction :'(
God damn

Pretty in love with this show, on my second time around. 1st season takes a little to get going but damn the 2nd is pure quality. Just watched Mr Peanutbutters game show episode "Let's Find Out" which is a personal favourite, so much fun. Buckling up for Escape from LA, that episode floored me the first time

Not sure there are any other shows quite like it? I've had Archer recommended which seems quality, definitely cynical as well. But Bojack just has that self deprecating humour element which I find much more relate-able, and a level of character development which seems unprecedented in a cartoon comedy series.

Hopefully season 4 keeps up the qual.

Need to start watching this

Terrific show, imo best animated show on TV at the moment. Rick and Morty is overrated imo and the themes and writing in this show is top notch. I certainly was not prepared for the feels as it moved on from being rather whimsical in S1 towards being darker and more cynical in later seasons.

Was convinced by some mates to continue with it after I stopped watching after season 1, and am grateful I did.
Honestly, the last ~4 episodes for season 3 was some of the most depressing yet entertaining TV I have watched. I think this show would be better marketed not as a comedy, as I don't find myself laughing too often, but it certainly makes me think. Hopefully season 4 continues on a similar track!

Is it marketed at all?

Netflix don't do a great job of marketing in general. I thought this was an Adult Swim show in the vein of Aqua Teen Hunger Force for the longest time.

The show is out in 2 weeks, and they only just released the first trailer. Looking forward to this! Has always been quality.

I am ready.

Not sure whether to spread this out over the space of the entire weekend or just watch it all tonight. I guess we'll see how dark it gets.

Rick and morty isn't about that, it's just one of the themes

Sure, but what do you think themes are if they don't explain the makeup of a show?

If BoJack was just a show about depression it wouldn't have the hilarious absurdity of talking animals (and Todd) coming up with equally hilarious/absurd hijinks and jokes.

Well that was brutal. I mean, sure, some nice moments for (most of) the characters, but shit... even by this show's standards it went pretty dark.

Two of the best shows on television are animated cartoons about self-hatred and depression/perennial sadness.

Season 4 is as good as ever.

Three of the best shows overall when you throw in You're the Worst.
