I wish Krack was in.

I reckon Mick is trying to sabotage him.

Was subbed in first game. only came on in the last quarter in the second, third game two goals, ordinary v Richmond...now dropped.

Krack will have no confidence.

Sad.

Mmm... I love that Brad Dick is in, but for Kraks confidence, I don't know. If Dick doesn't have a good game I'd want Krak back in.

I feel kinda bad for kraker.

really disappointing in relation to krack, but sometimes you have to back the opinion of the people closest to the players.
not looking forward to the anxious feeling every tine Dick goes near the ball or gets involved physically, but i guess we have to pull the pin sometime. the guy is so talented and we need to find out if he can stand up.

do we reckon he'll be the sub?

Uh huh. Because it is clearly in Mick Malthouses and the teams best interests to have a player fail. Very well thought out argument there Mr Pool. Kudos to you good sir.

Krak needs a rest, about 18 games they'll give him this year if his form holds up. There'll be a slow move to giving him more midfield time as the year goes on so no problem here.
Brad Dick needs to come in for a while and get the feel of AFL speed back.

Brad Dick is a genuine best 22 player, and has been for the past few seasons, when fit and ready to go, and thus it's great to see him back.

Krakouer hasn't proven himself yet, and I always thought he would be better in the second half of the season anyway, once he got used to the pace of AFL football after a few years playing in an inferior league.

Krak will be back, he will still play the 10-15 games most expected him to, it's just he isn't in our best 22 at the moment.

One note; DON'T USE DICK AS THE SUB. We did it with Leon the first game he returned, and it confused the heck out of me, as it set Leon back a few weeks in terms of form and fitness.

The sub should always be someone who played a full senior game the week before, I would use Wellingham or Steele this week, as they both will provide immediate impact once they are subbed on.

Anyway, great to have Dicky back, I haven't held back my love for the little man, and it's a blessing to have him on ANZAC day, a day that will be made for small forwards.:thumbsu:

Krak is all about player management..MM indicated recently he needed to improve his endurance and he will be playing through the midfield this year when he does. We have the depth. We have the luxury and balance of bringing 6 or 7 players through the side this year.

We've had no injuries in recent weeks..player management becomes a huge issue listening to David Buttifant on 3aw today...

The only problem we seem to have at the moment is the massive gap between the VFL and AFL games at the moment. MM won't leave players in the VFL too long this year (see Medhurst last year)...

With a bye in 2 weeks, I imagine Krak has a heavy workload of training over the next couple of weeks to catch up.

Good Luck to Dick...I hope he ceases his chance.

have Matera on the bench and he clocked up 127, so yeah to selection
Haha nice mate, i actually have matera on the ground this week, but i also have goodes tapscott and darling on the bench as their teams all have byes this week. oh well :p

Whys that mate? Dick not right?

Not exactly that, more like we have a multitude of goalkickers right now so it doesn't exactly make sense to take out a goalkicking mid for a pure goalsneak.
Just a gut feel.

I wouldn't be surprised if Krakouer played either, but in saying that Dick is a fantastic player and if he stays fit he can be a game changer for us. He's also a lot more consistent than our other small flashy players when he plays full games. Very accurate kicker, quick and applies good pressure. Here's to a healthy year for Dick!

Oh and I wouldn't be surprised if he started as the sub just going off who previous subs have been (players not 100% fit).

I really want Dick in the team, but I still want Krak to develop. So hard to think who else can lose a game at Dicks expense. :X

No chance of Krakouer playing now, well unless a "small" goes down in training (open session this morning I believe) or during the warmup.

Dick will play, that's almost 100% assured (barring said mishap).

Only possible late change is Wood back in for Jolly, if Jols isn't 100% right to go.

But I'd rather risk Jolly this week, we can always give him the next 2 weekends off (against the Dogs and the bye).:)
