I'm glad he's going, he can't kick and turns the ball over too much for my liking.. it's not like he rack's up possessions and is worth the pain

I think that is a bit under value for us. Maybe an exchange of 3rd round picks too.

I just don't expect to get equal value given Ebert's expressed desire to want out. An exchange of 3rd rounders doesn't matter, as that pick will be used to upgrade Hams. WC will be out of the draft before the 3rd round, in regards to selecting from the youngsters, therefore, making such an exchange irrelevant.

I think 21yo with 70 games under his belt plus captain potential should be a top 10 pick minimum. If the SA teams aren't interested in ponying up, I'm sure Brissy, GWS and GC would be more than interested, not to mention the Dees, North Mlebourne. Face it, we have a glut of inside mids under 22 years and a lot of teams are short in this area.

Personally m gutted he's requested a move. Viewed Ebert as a life member for WCE and was looking forward to him adding weight and strength and showing us a new improved Ebert.

So we spend a first rounder on him, we pick him 70 times in 4 years, then he ****s off and we get a late second rounder in a weak draft when we don't need extra picks but players about 21

Thanks for nothing ebo, you arseh*le

Is there any chance of Ebert and Pick 23 for Pearce and Pick 33? Our midfield could really do with his pace and foot skills....

Holy ****. Really, really didn't see this coming.

From all reports he was very highly regarded by the club, as evidenced by the faith we showed in him selection-wise, and in he was really enjoying being here.

Where has this come from?

Logged on and saw this thread. Mattman summed it up perfectly.

Really opens up the team though, been a regular for a while now and there are more than a few that could fill hff

wont miss him at all with his dodgy decision making and we got guys in the wafl that would have over taken him next year imo

Wow... feels weird that someone who i have watched since he joined the club, and complained about constantly is actually finally leaving. Why do i not feel overjoyed?

Probably because i'm confident that we will get r*ped on this trade and get sweet f**k all for a 21yo first round pick. Just like how we ripped swans and roos for Seaby and Mckinley

Pearce!!! If we can do up a trade that gets him here, then i'll feel MUCH better! Pearce would be perfect for our team with his pace and left foot. If not then omeara obviously

Yeah kinda this.

TBH think he could be a really good player, but this is certainly a dick move of the highest order.

*sigh*

Now the Port supporters here want Lycett as well. Yep the club would really trade a first year ruckman

Wow Kermit the frog...? IQ's are seriously dropping in here rapidly.

Gaff is average ( all be it ATM) I won that as the finals he showed nothing, he played 3 maybe 4 games where he showed something all season. Judd was winning fooking games from year one ya moron.

Surely this is a hacked account.

Ben Newton and #28 for Ebert and WC's 2nd rounder.

Would be relatively happy with this. :thumbsu:

C'mon, it's not Ebert's fault we'll get shit all in return. He made the right move for himself, no player is going to think "Oh shit, Port have nothing to trade to us right now, I'll just stay another few years until they do."

The fact that we have one less inside mid may even prove to be a blessing in disguise. I'm excited to see more of Stevens etc next season.

Jon Griffen set to head Port's way as well, may make trading of Ebert even more interesting...

Don't rate him as highly as others, but still hard to lose him. Really chucked a lot of development into him.

For those saying we should trade Lycett? No way.

It was a poor suggestion.

What happens then, we need to draft another ruckman?

Very much doubt we are going to pick up a better prospect even with an early-ish pick.
