AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Not to mention across HF, where Harts really let us down in the fourth last week........concussion is no excuse.Good call by cwebb.
Fisher it seems will be back for this round against the Aints.
Not a monent to soon either as we definately missed him last week as a forward option when looking for targets inside the 50.
Had he played last week the result might have been a bit different.
i think brad fisher is a great footballer.Put him 1 out in the goal square 9 out of 10 times he will mark it,so i cant understand why alot of times he plays outside the 50 where he looks lost, has not got the leg speed and cant kick 40 metres,God i hate to see if we lose Fev where we will get our goals from
Brad Fisher will play better footy if he played forward pocket. Fisher can sit in the square one on one and you will back him to take the grab. Wheres Fevola is better on the lead. So if Fevola leads and marks, distance is not a problem.
Fish fighting fit, courtesy CarltonFisher, now 26 and 98 matches into his senior career, is only a week or two away from resuming. But he’s first to admit that injury reinforced an urgency in his thinking about life after football.
“I’m well aware that footy doesn’t last too long, so I just wanted to get myself set up, and I’ve done that now. I’ve got a small personal training business happening and right now I’ve pretty much got all the clients I can handle. It’s something I really enjoy doing. I enjoy being outside, keeping fit and working with people,” he said.
“Whilst I’ve only completed a four-month course, I’ve been involved in a fitness environment at an elite level for eight years, so being able to pass on these experiences will hopefully hold me in good stead.”
And he has a simple message for fellow Carlton footballers who are early into their careers.
“Take on all the courses you can, work closely with the AFLPA and use your time well - if you don’t use the time you’ll regret it when you walk out the door with nothing,” he said.
