Roast Brad Fisher

Ok after giving this one a thinking over I have decided upon this:

Out:
Fisher, Bentley

In:
O'hAilpin, Robinson

I'd like to play Austin but I can't think of anyone to drop that would not disrupt our small to tall structural ratio.

If Hampson misses I am afraid we are going to have to play Cloke (Ackland II) :(. Warnock and Jacobs I doubt will be avaliable/ready.

Can Hartlett ruck? Probably hasn't got the endurance, would be good to have Hartlett do a little of the rucking which would allow us to play Austin.

Good idea, that!

IF Hampson doesn't pull up, surely Kruezer - with help from O'hAilpin and Hartlett (6'5") could get through the game vs Jolly. Fisher goes out for Santa, Austin in for Houlihan. The others have to wait it out - having had the (unfortunate) bye for the Ants, they must at leats show improved ATTITUDE this week to be selected for Rd 17.

I don't think Houla will be going anywhere this week - he was good against the tiges..............................................

Reminds me of the articles a year or so ago when he was quite happy to admit that he was one of a group of players who were known for being 'party boys' around town and admitted he wasn't working hard enough.

How very disappointing to learn that a bloke who wanted to skipper our great club has a garbage attitude and no work ethic. And what a flog to think he was the calibre of person to captain Carlton.

His kicking skills add a genuine weapon to our side, but there's no place for him if his fitnesslevels/match-day work ethic aren't up to scratch.

Possibly a bit of hangover from when he was clearly our best midfielder and he knew he could coast a bit and get by on his skills and nous.

And to think we're paying the w***er $500k a year.

Come on Stevo. Lift your game.

I'm not saying Stevens should be there but compared with what Houlihan has dished up - you appear to have 2 standards.

Takes a great grab, but his set shots and defensive pressure just aren't good enough.

He'll survive this year's list management, but if he doesn't improve i can't see him playing beyond 2010.

Heard that the Fish makes a good falafel, although he never gets to eat it because he always falls over moving from the kitchen to the table

I laughed! :D:thumbsu:

Was Fisher the reason we lost?

Was Fisher the reason that Carlton disposal was generally very poor against the Pies?

Was Fisher the reason we only kicked 4 goals?

Was Fisher the reason we did some many poor turnovers tonight?

Was Fisher the reason Collingwood basically closed us down and pressured pressured pressured us every time we had the ball, especially on the forward line?

Do Fisher kick 3 goals last week against Sydney?

I'm not saying Fish played well, but this thing where supporters just bag one player for a poor team effort is beyond me

Serious?
The whole forward line and midfield was dis functional.
We kicked to their half a dozen lose men in defense all night.
Not Fishers fault.

Fishers man was maxwell! Maxwell killed us filling that hole in front of Fev! As a forward fisher didn't score nothing! He had 13possesions and half of them were ineffective! He certainly did more harm than good!

He is not our future - his resurrection game was overrated last week'

Did not want to post uninformed this week so I had the pad handy to give Q by Q votes (as I have no recording facilities yet). Anyway back to Fish - I started making other jottings on the game in general. Take a look at 3rd Q at the 12.50 and 7.30 to play marks - these are typical of his inabiltity to apply any defensive pressure. He has done well for a pick 70 but he will need 21 good players around him if he is to slip into our best 22 when it counts :(
