did you see him miss a goal from 2 mts out against the swans .... and this was when he was running hot.

i would give draft picks to another club to take him

Maybe it's because this is a bloody brad fisher thread?

Oh, really? I didn't notice that.

So according to you Fisher was the answer to all those questions I posed about us losing and basically we would've won if he didn't play?

Yes, Fisher was terrible last night, but the way we played last night had a lot more to do with just Fisher and simply targeting him won't make us a vastly better team.

Fishers man (Maxwell) was killing fevola!
Main attributes of a FF
*Marking=Average
*Kicking=Way below average
*Body work=Way below average
*Defensive pressure=Non existent!

What has he got going for him??

FFS last week everyone was praising him for being the 'spark' and maybe he wasn't as bad as we thought.
a week later use are a criticizing the poor guy for a game which i reckon he was far from our worst. He led, worked hard and gave us a option all night. He gives it his best doesn't stop trying..that's something you know ull always get from brad fisher. Something that fev should consider. It's hard to perform well when u've got crap getting delivered to you like last night!
He seems to play very well at Etihad, so lets hope his in the side next week, kicks a bag and shuts all these criticizers up.

If he is going to be in the side, he should be a third ball. He hardly gets the ball passed to him though and when it does get kicked to him he has to take it contested.

I've been a supporter of Fisher for the last two years, constantly reminding people that he's a developing forward, he'll improve as he gets more game time, he'll improve his goal kicking with more practice..etc etc

100 games means he's had time to prove himself and there are others (Cloke, Setanta, Wiggo, my Granny) who can claim to be better value up front.

He doesn't kick goals, that's his job as a forward.
He takes a great mark, but he doesn't kick goals.
He tries hard for 4 quarters, but he doesn't kick goals.

Time's up. Cloke's the better package - because - surprise surprise, ..

HE KICKS GOALS.

He is going to struggle next year once we get the W's back a healthy (fingers crossed). He can still offer something though. Spent way too much time on the wing over the past few weeks and that is due to the lack of forwards presenting. He is/was never going to be a 2nd tall yet he is basically trying to play like one. He needs to float back inside 50 because he isn't going to do ANY damage out side of it. Footskills are lacking so why have him trying to deliver the ball forward?

He is a good 3rd tall but he has been asked to play as the 2nd which has seen him struggle (very similar to last year). You don't expect miracles from every player, he just needs to do his job. His is/was to chip in with a few but right now is being asked to kick bags. I'm almost sure he would play much better if we had Waite up forward, would allow him to drop back class and take some pressure off his shoulder.

As i said though if Walker, Warnock and Waite get back fit and healthy, he will really struggle to get a spot in the 22.

Contracted for next year, he'd want to get through pre-season without injury (for once) get himself cherry ripe and have a real crack at it, because he is failing to progress when those around him do. He is in big danger of having the game pass him by and likely to be:
  • offered for trade this year
  • delisted next year if not traded
I like Fisher, but he's just not keeping pace with the pack. :(
