is this the year he is going to start declining towards eventual retirement or will he keep going?
will welsh take much heat off him up forward?

i have been asking myself that question as well.
if his price was over 600k i would be avoiding him, but at 560k it is tempting. i just don't think lucas, quentin lynch or steve johnson who are in his price range offer the same consistency and durability as bj. if his scores declined 10% i think i could live with that but i am so torn on this one.... 50/50.

Bump

For those who have had BJ from the start - what are your plans?

For me if it wasn't for his 139 in round one he would have been chopped last week. Now I don't know how many more sub 70s I can take given I paid a hefty price for him.

The cumulative losses from BJ, SJ and JB in my foward line has done a lot to negate my gains from my cash cows.

Every post I read on BJ is about how people are waiting for his price to bottom when they will pick him up but I hate the feeling if being stuck on on the ride down (he will drop for at least another two weeks) when we have some budding premiums like Didak, Murphy, O'keefe coming on the way up. At this point I could do a straight trade to one of these guys who have established that they are in form for 08 but if I wait another week or two these players will well overtake BJ in price and if Bj were to continue with this poor DT form I may have to use a cash cow later on in order to free up the necessary funds.

If you have BJ, is this the time to be dropping him and jumping on the guys on the way up? Or will we see BJ return to all-star DT form?

He is a GUN. Why would you trade guns?

He will return to form, just you wait

I wont be trading hall this week

BJ and Reivwolt will both be going down in value this week so will put rioli on the field hall on the bench and make my trade next week :)

I have Hall and thinkin of trading him to Franklin. Have a bit of cash so can afford it. Had gamble and hill starting for me and thinking of taking one more week with those two and then upgrade. I keep getting lucky with my other players to compensate for hill, gamble, and palmer, starting.

I've said it before, but if it wasn't for the last three or four minutes against Adelaide he'd be averaging something closer to 70.

He's not finished by any stretch, but IMO he'll be averaging the wrong side of 90 come the end of the year.

I have him but I will most likely keep him for another few weeks and then have another think about it. I'm hoping he has a field day against Richmond's defense!

Brad Johnson = stats
doubt him at your own peril.

perhaps his days of 100ppg are gone, but with his amazing consistency and willingness to play through injury he's still a 2000+pts per year player. you don't trade out those players unless you HAVE to.

I didn't Johnson, West, McLeod, Akermanis and a few others because they are getting on (in football terms) in years, but I will be looking at Johnson if his price is good and he shows signs of hitting good form.

With Aker, Welsh, and the return of Murphy in the forward line he isn't their "go to man" anymore, simply he wont be getting as much supple as he used to. In saying that he is a champ and is still in the top tier of players, Hall to him in 1-2 weeks is looking very juicy :D
