His old man was Two games off Bruzzy being eligible for the crows as a father son. Thank god

I’m not upset with retiring it but with Daicos seemingly keen to retain 35 it might be a way of bringing it back, give it to the first drafted.Geez, I reckon you've nailed it there... He is definitely the most Millane-like that we've had in a while. I genuinely dislike the fact that we retired 42, and I'd love to see it come out of retirement and given the Maynard. And I think he would handle it perfectly.
Sent his love to his Nan after the game too or was that the Melbourne clash?Noticed Bruzzy picked up and consoled Docherty after the siren for a good 10 seconds or so, and after Cripps went down in the 3rd quarter and sat forward for a bit he made sure he was ok and gave him a pat on the chest. Granite on the outside but a softy on the inside. My mancrush on him is off the charts.

I tend to think Bruzz has made his own name and cultured his own identity in 37, I was just saying if we had someone to slap 42 on he is the closest fit. You would need to check with Bruzz to see if he was even open to wearing it, the Millane family, the Club and if they all said yes, might want to have a chat with Dennis Banks.Horrible idea . If 42 comes back, it shoukd come back into general circulation and offered to somebody suitable, eg Bruzzy. . Hopefully we have also retired off the 35 rotation policy too and Nick keeps it.
Edit… the 35 rotation came in after we won a flag. It would be a nice synergy to stop the rotation ( and give 42 to Bruzzy) after we win the flag this year!
Oh I agree with that.... thought you were suggesting we give 42 to our first draft pick!I tend to think Bruzz has made his own name and cultured his own identity in 37, I was just saying if we had someone to slap 42 on he is the closest fit. As much as I am OK for it to be retired, at some point it will most likely be reinstated and in order to bring it back there will need to be a legitimate reason behind it and is a fitting tribute ongoing to the last guy Igbo who wore it.
So you don’t know the usually posters who are quick to pass judgement on any kid who passes through the door and doesn’t immediately look like the finished AFL product. No idea who the 'usual campaigners' were but I wasn't one of them. Can't remember much criticism of him to be honest. Always best to avoid using a toast post to sling off at an unknown posters in a bid to blow your own trumpet.
Well done to the boy. He is an absolute stalwart in our back half and one of the major reasons we made the 4 this year.
Definitely up there , Stewart for mine just pips him. Absolute gun. Bruzzy is our next Captain , everyone walks a foot taller with him out there. Maynard is always there , by his team mates side , flying the flag , laying that bone crushing tackle , giving lip , he epitomes what a Collingwood Captain is. No backing down , in your face never give you an inch mantra. No better defender IMO. Can play on Jeremy Cameron or Charlie Cameron. Heart and soul player.
Nick Daicos had a better year than MaynardCant think of a more deserving all Australian.
Yep - anyone who has been on these boards for a long time like me see the same people doing it over and over again - they aren't mistaken in their judgements they are just keyboard campaigners. So you don’t know the usually posters who are quick to pass judgement on any kid who passes through the door and doesn’t immediately look like the finished AFL product.
‘Maynard was pantsed by his direct opponent, and made yet another calamitous error (inb4 he's only 19/20, a 10 yr old wouldn't have made that mistake) which directly resulted in a goal to the opposition. He'll do this all his career, he's limited. Just a very, very dumb footballer.’
‘well let's hope that's the end of maynard... It was embarrassing when he did his little auskick routine... he's played enough games now to demonstrate his limited capabilities....add name to trade thread...’
‘How is this spud still in the team??’
‘Crikey we over-rate our own, he'll never be a 'gun' or 'star’.
‘Why is it all these threads are full of bitter ******s trying to tear down young kids’
Go back to his first few years. It was a regular debate.
It’s off the back of Maynard’s defensive work that Nick can play an unaccountable role and set up all our attacks.Nick Daicos had a better year than Maynard
The laser he delivered to Pendlebury for the final goal was brilliant. Probably went no higher than 6 metres in the air.

Yeah I agree, Nick has been great but he relies heavily on getting handballs from the big defenders after they have done the marking and grunt work and there is nothing wrong with that. It’s off the back of Maynard’s defensive work that Nick can play an unaccountable role and set up all our attacks.
Clone him‘I love big match-ups’: Brayden Maynard would be happy to take on Jeremy Cameron
Collingwood defender Brayden Maynard says he is ready for the challenge of taking on Geelong’s super forward Jeremy Cameron if handed that assignment in Saturday’s qualifying final.www.theage.com.au
Might even go to Danger.Lots of talk of him going head to head with Cameron. He’s just as likely to match up on Stengle and shut him down!!
Bruzzy can do it all.
Cats might go Rock Paper Scissors and the loser gets MaynardMight even go to Danger.
