Mate, I'm a Collingwood supporter and have been for over 60 years. I expect the unexpected. I've seen the bias. I have no doubt in my mind that if this was a Geelong player I would be expecting him to get off and he would.

If Maynard gets suspended I don’t think I could help but lose interest in the sport of AFL a fraction. It’s already got to the stage where I rarely watch any game that dosent involve the pies. Perhaps modern day AFL just doesn’t offer me what I’m looking for in a sport anymore…….and I guess that’s ok. It just sucks that I love Collingwood so much but don’t overly care for the sport they play as much these days.

Agreed, I also don't watch many games not involving us, and will be less interested in future games if he is suspended. Life generally is becoming so sanitized that it's becoming boring.

I don't understand everybody calling for Maynard to be acquitted. It just ain't happening. He's gone because that's what the AFL wants. No point in conjecture, truth or evidence. This has been pre-ordained.

I see it differently. I think the AFL had no alternative but to take it further. However, now that they have, the strength of Maynard’s defense will allow them to let him off and make adjustments for next season.
