Where too now???

Diamond Valley Football league probably. which is a shame because he showed a lot of promise at Under 18 level but unfortunately never went on with.

I think because his old man was even slower and a worse kick but still managed 300 games, a norm smith medal and captained a premiership

Brayden didn't have enough weapons to succeed at AFL level.
As many Collingwood supporters have said (or just one alot of times) he is too small and slow to play a link man in the midfield, too slow and not skillfull enough to be a receiver and not good enough at the stoppages to be an inside clearance specialist.

I still believe there is a place for the Tony Shaw/Greg Williams type players but whether they get the 2nd and 3rd chances they received would be the main question in my mind.

The rush the to pick the athlete over the footballer is a blight on the game IMHO.

Good point.
I think he would be overlooked because of his height and pace.
The things that made him a great player would not have been evident as a very young draftee

I am a bit of a broken record! :D

do you think chris judd has revolutionised what clubs look for in the draft?

lets face it, his explosive pace and athleticism has had every other club drooling since he was drafted..

I saw him training 3 weeks ago and was extremely disappointed. I'd heard how he'd shed kilos but all I saw was an overweight, slow footballer with questionable skills and stamina. He was running last in the numerous 100 metre sprints following training -- groups of 12 (juniors in his group).

heath>brayden only in trying to achieve there maximum! if brayden trys he will be awesome
How do you figure? Since being drafted, if you compare everything that they have shown, even if it was only for a tiny glimpse, regardless of consistency, Heath has shown that he's a better mark, a better kick and significantly faster.

IMO, Heath has also shown that at anything past TAC Cup level, he is a better ball-winner too.

There is nothing new about Brayden not making it.
Many really good footballers at under age level could not tranfer their under age skills/dominance into the AFL.

If you compare Heath and Brayden.
The one thing that sticks out, is Heath actually improved in his first two years. Brayden didn't.
Heath has a great attitude, Brayden's was questionable (Balme on SEN).
Heath never believed his name would get him a game in the seniors, Brayden did (my supposition based on interviews I have heard).
