"The Professor" Shaun Higgins.

I think he is a star in the making. Great skills, hard at the ball, selfless, tenacity, reads the play very well plus (insert your own superlative here).

The lad will be in my SC team this year & he'll be a bargain.

He won't be a GUN he'll be a HOWITZER!
Agree, He Reminds me of Akermanis a little bit, Not as good off both feet, but jeez he's damn close

Mortons, i agree, Not sure about Jarryd getting a game, but the brothers all have talent.

I think Leuenberger might have a good year

Totally agree. Like the way he goes about it. He has class too, which helps. just adds to their strong midfield.
Another one to watch is masten. I reckon west coast will be vindicated in drafting him at 3. He looks like he handles the pace of the game well and is good in close.

Nobody understands what a breakout year is. Gibbs has already broken, Thomas has already broken. That's not to say they have peaked by any means but it does mean they are in the teams best 22 and are on the scene. I believe both of these guys fall in to that catergory.

(A.Rocca to have a break out year)

Using your logic I'd expect Gumbleton, Myers, Pears, Dempsey and Neagle to have "break-out" years for the Dons

Xavier Ellis will become an elite midfielder in 2009, if he isn't already.

Maybe this year, if not the next.

Still reckon the Pies got this draft a little bit wrong.

It should have been Ellis at 2 & Pendles at 5.

Shaun Grigg will take it to another level this year and cement a spot in our best 22.

Grigg won't need to wear orange boots to get attention...

Russell is my smoky to upset those who question his spot in the side .
I was about to write the same two people. Griggs looks capable and Russell will suprise a few as well( signs are there). Gibbs, Murphy,Bower, Kreuzer and Jamo to take it to the next level and finally Waite to finally become a superstar of the game.

That's got to be the 5-6th season now?

I was hoping it would happen before this and i am giving him one more year . He has all the attributes, height, speed , agility, good reader, takes on the play. He's a very good player as it is but hasn't taken the next step to stardom but i still dont think it has passed him just yet.

You're right - he just needs to start doing things like this:
