Well I think we (meaning all non St Kilda fans) can breathe a bit easier, after the announcement that the supaspud that is Raph Clarke has been re-signed by St Failda! Not that I think any other club in their right mind (excluding Carlton or Richmond, perhaps) would entertain the thought, but hey, crazier things have happened!(oh, I forgot crazy Vossy as well)

Anyway, thanks again St Kilda for Walsh, and thanks again for keeping that uberspud Clarke where he belongs - at St Kilda!:D

I'm breathing a lot easier knowing that you will never stand behind me at any footy game and that you live far, far away in the land of the bum sniffers. I think you have been doing too much sniffing.

FWIW Xavier was never spudley and was a very differernt player who played a very different role. But some of the dimmer people on here had trouble telling them apart.
Unfortunately injury prone.

No mention of Raph in your post though. I'm guessing you're very annoyed that St Kilda kept that useless hack. He makes Ed Barlow look like Robert Harvey.

Ummm, there was a touch of tongue in cheek associated with my pleasantries.

FWIW, 35 & 68 is pretty good for a guy who has never played AFL. He should've played AFL by now, except your late coach wouldn't give him a game. Instead he kept playing duds like Dawson and Clarke. Jesus wept.

Yeah should have played, but you are ignorant if you think he could have played intead of Dawson or Clarke. Sydney wouldn't have promised him a game this time last year, and the real reason he's gone is his man love for Kennelly.

I wasn't suggesting that he play in the positions of spuds Dawson or Clarke, merely that St Kilda were playing tried and true spuds instead of giving a chance to guys like Walsh. As for your conjecture about what Sydney might've offered a year ago...well it's just conjecture, which is masking your hurt over losing Walsh. Man love or not, Kennelly may not even be in Sydney next year, so I don't really get your point there?

As for Lewis Jetta, yes he's my avatar. Yes, he's fast, and he kicks a lot of points, and yes, the jury's still out on him. But hey, at least we're giving him a chance to prove himself, which is more than you can say about how you treated Walsh.

Here's a bit of conjecture. If you'd played Walsh last year, he may have stayed? You'll never really know though, because you never gave him a chance. C'est la vie. At least you re-signed Raph Clarke:eek:

Yeah pick 7089 or something, yep, we've really gone out on a limb there. Our whole season rides on whether he comes good or not.

Funny thing is though, if he'd nominated St Kilda as his club of choice and you took him you'd probably be quite excited, if for no other reason than a player from another club actually wanted to come and play at St Kilda! Not gunna happen though...especially when you've screwed the pooch salary cap-wise and all...
